The pathing section seriously helped me out. It kinda opened my eyes to how many fights I lose due to poor engagements. Not just on echo but on a lot of characters. This is a very detailed yet at the same time really easy to understand and digest guide. I would seriously rate this as one of the best educational OW videos I've ever seen

maybe this tip is too basic know-how but it took me a minute to realize jumping and then pressing flight boosts you immediately into the air. For a while I’d push flight and then hold jump to climb until accidentally discovering jump and flight.

At the time OWL players didn’t practice Echo since she was banned in OWL as soon as she was released. Samito hard grinded her for like two weeks.

Awesome guide! Question about Duplicate: Would you ever respond to early picks in a fight with different duplicates? For example, your healers are zen moira and moira gets picked. In the 5 on 6 would you want to be looking to dupe a healer (like a Lucio) to counter the fact that you are down a healer with the pick, or hold dupe till next fight when 6 on 6?

I know I’m not Rank 1 echo lol, but IMO: It’s very situational, but if you have to commit to a 5v6 down a healer, it’s definitely worth consideration to duplicate an enemy support. Do remember though, that you are still in a 5v6, but now you are down a DPS. Often times, especially in Zen comps., lacking damage is a bigger problem than lacking heals. Supports like Brig & Ana can still be great to duplicate though since they can find immediate value with their utilities and both have huge ultimates. Supports like Lucio & Moira have great healing value as duplicate targets, but lack much else to make them a threat to the enemy without committing to the fight. I’d say it’s rarely the best option to duplicate a support for their healing value.

I'm only Masters, but I'd say it depends a lot on whether you believe your other DPS can produce a pick without you. Like if it's a sniper maybe. In general Lucio is kind of a hard one to justify imo. You're looking for heroes with quick and easy output. You're forced to Amp heals on Lucio because otherwise you risk not building Ult quick. And Ampung heals on Lucio is a feelsbad sometimes. Most of the Flex Supports can have bigger impact really quick and then get Ult charge soon. Ana's cool downs are super strong and Zen's ult is really big.

Great guide showing your flanks to reduce the gap of time your exposed to hitscan has really helped me the one thing I wish you do was correct common mistakes of low Eli players but besides that the guide has been super helpful

Nice guide Danteh! Though I was hoping that you would cover her audio cues. The loud noise she makes when using glide can ruin a flank and I think it's important to understand its audible range and how to play to prevent being detected in the backline.

Ahh, so much to cover in a limited amount of time but it's pretty simple. After you use your flight the ability sound lingers a little bit and goes away after a couple seconds. Flanking on the ground is really good since it's quiet and people don't expect echo to be on ground if they hear her.

Ngl this video was really helpful. I realized that after applying some tips, I died way less because I was always looking to move with cover and save my flight to escape. I also stopped a lot of kills but focused of getting picks that would win the fight.

Good fucking video. I wanted to put more characters into my dps list and Echo will definitely be one from now on. I also would suggest your matchup tier to not be a,b,c,d, but +3 +2 +1 0 -1 -2 -3, +3 being the best matchup for Echo, and -3 being the worst. Keep up the good work :)

Amazing guide and I have a suggestion to making better guides. Keep up everything you're doing to make the guide because it's really great but I suggest you try adding more on your perspective of how you can maximize echo on teams that do support and work with you and teams that don't support or work with you. Essentially, "how to get out of that feeling of I'm being kind of useless right now, how can I be more helpful to my team even if they don't help me."

In the maps section, I think you could go more in-depth about which areas specifically in each map are good/bad. For instance, you had junkertown in F tier and while that's true for point A, streets is very good for flankers and final point if you can hold high ground.

If you were to do another hero guide, I'd love for it to be Sombra. I've found that she can really blow open a team fight, and I can get lots of hacks off and farm EMPs, but it feels like my effectiveness with her wears off with every subsequent team fight, and that ultimately I can't be really effective unless I am working with a good tank.
