@Anomaly unions are groups that exist to protect workers from unfair treatment by companies. Naturally, companies have issues with that and sometimes refuse to work with anyone that associates with a union. The VAs for cloud and sephiroth are unionized, so japanese only. The VAs for pit and palutena are also union, which is why they go uncredited despite being publicly known, it was a specific deal they managed to work out.

If I ever do mod my Switch, I’m grabbing this version of the mod for sure. Considering how Sora seems to use some reused voice clips, I’d like to think this might have been the closest we would have gotten had we been able to get English Sephiroth in Smash, and you did an excellent job, right down to the KH2 clip that I think best translates to a Star KO. Well done.

I did learn that even in Japanese, Sora’s voice clips are also reused, and considering Cloud and Sephiroth did have new lines for Smash specifically, maybe we wouldn’t have gotten reused lines in English if Square or the VA’s contracts allowed them to voice them in English outside of Square’s stuff.
