@@pierowmania2775 Sounds like your Ollie's was stocked up as well. I purchased 2 packs of Googan Squad 3/O EWG hooks along with a couple of packs of soft plastics all for $2.99 each plus 4 spools of Suffix 65lb test braided line which will go on 4 baitcasters. I will head back to Ollie's this upcoming Friday to hopefully purchase casting and spinning rods plus some more lures and hooks to finish building my travel setup that I can keep in my vehicle. I use similar plastic's from 1 to 2 inches on a similar jighead frome Ali from 1 to 3.5 grams. I fish the Ohio River in areas where there is a lot of current. I catch a ton of white bass and hybrid white bass with them, also a good bit of saugers and smallmouth. In the creeks, all the panfish and bass eat them. In the lakes it's mostly bluegill and crappie. A good bit of the hybrids and smallmouth I've caught have been over 3 lbs. It's an awesome profile lure

Finesse is the way to go sometimes, my goto is an all black 2” minnow on a 1/32 chartreuse jig head, that will usually get something to bite.

Have you tried the dark sleepers? Great little swim baits for bass, big bluegill and heavy enough to throw on a baitcaster. I recommend putting a little mend it around the plastic where the eye comes out

I battled the heat yesterday and went chasing bluegills. Using a small swim bait, I was able to catch six .one was a fair 6 inch and the rest stayed in that 4 inch range. Still a lot of fun to feel the pull on an ultralight. Would have loved to have caught some of the bulls, but I know that that is not always going to happen. Keeping it realistic.

What! A bluegill, i thought it was too big for those size bluegill. I normally use smaller, there are no crappy where i live so i either throw small for a 3 inches bluegill or big one for a 12 inches bass/catfish
