Here is a couple recommendations : Get a tri-monitor desk mount. It'll look way better Drill holes in the desk near the keyboard to route the keyboard and mouse wires through, giving a wireless look. Get dbrand skins for your PS4 and Xbox 1. It'll look better.

you could nail paintings into the sound proofing. It will reduce it's sound dampening, but not remove it. You could always test it wouldn't damage the panels or paintings that much.

You should use some color. When I designed my house, I had them put a beautiful sandy looking granite on the counters with small sparse rust veiny accents that complement the cabinet stain. My dad always thought color on the walls was too much and went with white too. Everything white except the carpet. My mother never had a say in it, but he was kind of obsessive compulsive so it didn't work to argue. For my house I put in some colorful off whites. My livingroom walls have a hint of seafoam green and similar medium green matika-silk strap topped curtains hang from retro wooden rods. Because I think it looks beachy. All the curtains have a dogwood flower and leaf pattern lace under-curtain behind them. The effect is if I open the cloth curtains but leave the lace ones closed I can see out but the tight lace pattern keeps people from seeing in. All my carpet is a sand color. Ceiling is white in all rooms and the baseboards, since the wall color is so light I felt it helps the color stand out. Kitchen has the sandy granite counter tops with a rough sandy tan shale accent brick work back splash. Golden yellow off white walls, light cherry stained cabinets with black wrought iron handles and a cherry wood veneer flooring because I thought real wood boards would squeak. It looks enough like a hardwood floor though. I went with oil rubbed bronze fixtures in a retro 1910 style on a bone off-white farmhouse sink, and black for the stove, ovens and fridge. Maybe I should have gone with a grey stain or a light yellow on the wood but my table was already cherry. :P Bedroom walls are sand off white. Matika silk strap top curtains and bedclothes are light ocean blue. Sand colored carpet. Wooden curtain rods, window trim, baseboards and the accordion closet doors are all white. Bathroom is off-white sea-sky blue like before a rain, counter is white marble with light grey crystals and small purple garnets across it. Oil rubbed bronze victorian retro pump sink faucet stands behind a raised basin sink made of bamboo. Bathroom tile closely resembles sand stone, some grey accents. I put some beach glass looking rectangular glass tiles across the back splash area and as a shower accent. Clear frosted glass, white marble, blue and green glass. And thats my house. I would have tried to use real sand stone but apparently they use it on the outside of houses. It wasn't offered as indoor tile or stone counter in the shops I went to.
