If OnePlus wasn't one of the companies keeping their bootloader locked, I would've actually purchased the Hu Tao phone; but I prefer microG and LineageOS which is sadly not possible on these devices... Yeah, a limited edition console could be used for decades while a limited edition phone will be outdated in few years. Phones also have bigger risk of breaking or being stolen, even when stored in a safe place the battery could swell up and break the back glass
