i havnt had this game as long as most have.. but long enough to feel that the fame system is thee worst part of this game. atleast for me it is. going out and exploring should be rewarded, not punished. i finally got close to being able to buy a dirtbike and i hit a random mine in a place i havnt seen a SOUL for weeks.. that kind of shit needs nerfed. mines that are outside a flag zone shouldnt kill or something idk.. max 2 mines out on the map per player at once. idk something needs changed. the meta is to have an alt who carries all the fame and run around with a character with dog shit fame meaning anyone who plays the game the right way.. loses tons when they die and gains nothing when they get a kill. THIS SYSTEM IS GARBOOOOOOOOOO

I am not sure if this has been adjusted since you made this video. Playing on Milk server (PVPVE, so pretty easy to avoid getting killed) I've managed to get to about 500 fame just from not dying, exploring, looting, trading, and crafting (but not base building). I used to play on some PVP servers and even a bit on officials. Setting aside cheaters, I don't think it would have been a problem for me to have survived as much as I have on a full PVP server, though getting base raided would probably be an issue. Maybe the system still needs some tweaks, but, overall I think it is pretty good. It seems to incentivize a play style that is focused on staying alive and being healthy.

Yes. Since you lose 50 % of your fame if a player kills you they need to increase it a bit.

The new player experiance in the current build is horrible. I mean you lose fame on death and you have to use money to respawn, this is very taxing and currently cause alot of players to just quit and never return. Older players keep targeting new players, land mines everywhere on the map. The game's a mess.

This! The experience NEEDS to be inviting to new players. They should be able to win at least 30% of the time otherwise we can expect the game, itself, to eventually die off.

lately when i go to the trader, if im a few points shy.. ill buy or make some rope and craft improvised fishing line and level up fame that way.. it's boring while ur sitting there but maybe can be efficient if u buy 20 rope for a few grand and go eat or shower or whatever.. i typically gain 1 fame per 14ish rope made.. so if i buy a rope 50/50 for 250$ ish, i gain around 3 fame. Again.. can also make the rope from the nearby trees, only gives u 10/10 rope but is free.

Fame is good if you raid a base with many dial locks. 1 dial lock take medium 100-200 fame

@@Luthais no, the "arms up, cartoon run" that puppets do when they first spawn in and run to where you made sound.... is not a bug... its programed... my bet is some dev got fed up with our complaining about the broken spawns and decided to put cartoon zombies in as a "joke"... or a (friendly) "ha ha F.U guys"... bug my ass..
