Hey guys! This is a 68 slide long PowerPoint presentation I made for my friend (who is a new swiftie) because she wants to go to Taylor’s concert with me and wants to prepare herself!! It’s obviously not EVERYTHING you need to know but it’s a start, so I hope you enjoy it haha
Also, feel free to pause! I didn’t read all the information on the slides for most of them 🤍
Update as of 2023: I made this last year for my friend because we had just gotten eras tour tickets, and I wanted to bring her with me. She’s since been converted and is a full on swiftie 💞 also, this was obviously made before Taylor & Travis because a thing, so my apologies for the outdated info!

Great video! My daughter introduced me to Taylor💯And I’m now proud to call myself a Swiftie💫Before I wasn’t interested in Taylor Swift at all or any of her music. I had only heard a couple of her most popular songs and didn’t even like her that much (I obviously didn’t know anything about her) After watching The Eras Tour movie with my daughter however, that changed. Now I’ve seen lots of videos about Taylor, listened to almost all her albums (My favorites are currently Lover, Folklore, Evermore, Midnights and Reputation) I also love the songs Christmas Tree Farm and The Best Day (to mention a few🤍) I never thought in a million years I would be a fan, but here I am☺️I think Taylor is a great rolemodel as well and I look forward to her releasing new music (maybe in 2024 )🙌🏼Greetings from a mom in Europe

That’s partly why i made this video 🤍 I became a fan in Lover era because that’s when I kind of got old enough to start exploring my own interests more and I gradually became more and more obsessed. Thanks for this, been a casual fan for years and after obsessing over Midnights wanted to earn that status of Swiftie so I started listening to her full albums from the beginning but I will probably use your list to appreciate the tunes in smaller doses bc Red and Fearless are looooong but so far I've streamed Debut, Fearless TV and Red TV once, Speak Now twice, Reputation and Lover at least three or four times and 1989 and Midnights ON REPEAT. I really fell in love with Taylor's music when I heard the album Folklore. Then I started to appreciate her artistic sensibility in her earlier stuff. But I have a question, I'de like to buy some of her older records but Taylor's version do not exists for 1989 and Reputation right now. I do not want to give any money to those who riped off her music . So I do not consider buying a new album or even streaming. The only option seems to buy a second hand copy of these albums. That is so kind of you! If you’d like to have a copy of the albums, I’d definitely say buying secondhand is your best choice. However, don’t feel guilty about streaming them. The revenue big machine gets from streaming is so small compared to how much money Taylor is making that it’s really okay for you to listen to them. Obviously once the Taylor’s versions come out you should switch to streaming those, but for now, I personally think you’re okay to listen to the non Taylor’s versions ones. ❤️

Omg yay that makes me so happy! Tbh I'd say start with listening to Midnights 3 AM edition (her newest) because it has a pretty wide range of styles, and then listen to a few songs from each album (the ones I included in here are great because they showcase a very diverse range throughout the album). Then from there, listen to any albums that pique your interest specifically! There are plenty of swifties I know who only like her pop stuff, or only like her country, etc., so don't feel bad if not everything is to your taste. She has such a wide range of music that there's honestly albums for everyone! I'll sort them below just so you can kind of categorize them and have choose the ones you want to start with based on the genres you like. Country: Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red Pop: some songs from Fearless and Red, 1989, reputation, Lover, Midnights Folk/Indie: folklore and evermore That was probably way more of an answer than you were looking for, but I hope it helps!

Okay, here’s the part where I talk about how to become a swiftie! The numbers are the slide numbers in the presentation. 41: If you want to become a swiftie 42: Listen to more than just her hits! You don’t have to listen to each and every album (although I do recommend listening to them in chronological order at some point!) but at least listen to a variety of her songs. The following slides will include songs from each album to get you started and exposed to some of her work! Also: make sure to only listen to the Taylor’s Version of songs (if there is a Taylor’s Version!) 43: Taylor Swift Our Song Tied Together With a Smile Stay Beautiful Mary’s Song (Oh My My My) Tim McGraw 44: Fearless (Taylor’s Version) Hey Stephen Breathe (ft. Basically as long as you’ve seen Miss Americana and you’ve listened to more than just her popular songs, you’re good! Obviously supporting Taylor and standing up for the things she believe in are necessary as well as being respectful of her and other fans. But pretty much as long as you identify with or enjoy her music and call yourself a fan, you’re a fan! Don’t feel like you need to be defined by the merch you own or the concerts you’ve been to because everyone is valid as a swiftie if they consider themselves to be one.

I haven't seen that parody, but basically Blank Space is a representation of how the media paints Taylor- essentially like a woman who goes through a bunch of men and breaks their hearts, and enjoys the whole thing, even though that's not the real Taylor at all.
