Wow, vilken kanonfilm och jag inser att jag nog inte kommer att bestiga Kebenkaise :) Men jag är väldigt intresserad av utrustningen du har med dig även kläderna du har med dig. Tex vilken modell på Lundhags byxorna och Hestra handskarna plus sovsäck och tält :) Tack för att jag fick följa med på turerna :)

Åh men tack! Tråkigt att du känner att det inte är något för dig - men det är också bra att veta sina begränsningar så man kan satsa på något annat. Finns ju så mycket annat fint att upptäcka! (Kommer tex en film om Kungsleden senare i vår...) Byxorna heter Askro Pro ws pant. Vantarna jag hade är ett par liners, Hestra Merino Wool Liner Active och ett par skalvantar, Hestra Nimbus glove, samt ett par för via ferratan, Hestra ergo grip active - tror jag de heter. Hade det varit kallare hade jag absolut behövt ett par varmare också. Tältet är ett Big Agnes copper spur UL, 4 pers. Sovsäcken jag har är från Nemo Equipment. Modellen finns inte längre men är lik de som heter Riff (women) eller disco. Har en komffrttemperatur på -9 men jag använder den året om.

@@wildernessstories Tack bästa du för svar :) Jodå, jag fjällvandrar i Jämtland minst en gång per år och visst har jag gått Jämtlandstriangeln också men Keb är lite speciellt iaf :) Jag är lite av en utrustningsnörd som dessutom har börjat tälta igen efter 21 år men inget eget tält än och jag älskar att ha fått möjligheten att införskaffa bättre fjäll / fritids utrustning än när jag började för 22 år sen :) Försöker även att handla svensk kvalitet så långt det räcker. Har en liten fråga jag är 12 och våran familj vill besegra Kebnekajse om några år för vi vandrar mycket och de är kul. Men jag är osäker på hur utmanande de är för vi går oftas 1-2 mil varav varierad terräng med mycket uppför och nerför för fjällen men jag vet inte hur mycket som krävs. (Vi går den västra sidan isåfall)

The water is said to be safe enough to drink in the Swedish mountains - but there is never a 100% guarantee. I drink it myself without filtering, but always take my water where there is a good flow. There can be small amounts of melt water higher up on Kebnekaise than what I mention in this film, but from what I've heard you should be careful taking water higher up as that might have been affected by the people who climb the mountain (dirt, food rests, feces etc). Also don't plan for taking water higher up than mentioned in the film. The streams where I take water in the film is relatively safe though, due to the good flow (but again, it's never a 100% guarantee)

So do you need a guide with you for the south route? I have a lot of experience and don't want to take a guide with me

You need a guide for the Eastern route (Östra leden) as it goes over a glacier and a Via Ferrata. If you are an experienced alpine climber you can of course do it on your own with a partner - but if so, contact the guide office at the Kebnekaise mountain station so that they know that you will be on the eastern route. There are plenty of guided groups each day and they need to know where the others are as it is easy to kick down rocks at the via ferrata. The western route (västra leden) is only hiking and you can do it on your own.

I have issue with the statements "mountain climbing, and make sure not to sweat".

Can you decribe what you mean and I'll try to answer? What I mean with "make sure not to sweat" is that if you feel that you're starting to sweat, you should stop to take off a layer of your clothing or open up to ventilate. If you get sweaty you will get damp or wet - which will make you cold when you stop or slow down.
