Just now sitting here alone in silence im like. This is my dream. I want to rap with my soul, almost half my life now. Since i found rap its all ive eanted to do, no mumble, not cars drugs etc, i dont wanna be about that man. And im listening to my old music, and music of good rappers and im like wow, i really suck at this. Then i realized. I want to rap so bad, but ive never even learned how to rap, i just thought i could do it on my own ive never looked up how to rap till now and im like dang i gotta be more open minded

It depends on who you ask. According to Webster "A cadence is a rhythm, or a flow of words or music, in a sequence that is regular (or steady as it were)." I still stink at this. I’ve been scating for 4 or so years now when in the car or alone. I’ve got a little better but not much. I’ve watched a lot of your videos over the years and still stink. I can’t write music at all so I go for off the top mainly and just record myself with screen recording on my iPhone and with GarageBand mic turned on with a KZbin type beat in the background. I have a few years worth of crazy mess of recording but I can go back and hear myself. My weakness is I can’t get myself to learn a mainstream song from anyone word by word and follow their flow without losing interest. I enjoy creating.

Thank for the sub! Yeah the bar graphics in my videos are all made from scratch. But you can make you a basic version of them using tables in a word processor like Word or Google Dox ✌😎 - Cole Mize

Here is a rap I wrote for my friend in his birthday. (Hook) I hope you had a happy birthday And I hope your day was great I also hope that you like this song Even through I wrote it late I hope you had a happy birthday And I hope your day was great I also hope that you like this song Even through I wrote it late (Verse 1) The 4th of Feb is a big day for you Because you’re 14 now, who knew? So I decided to write you this song I knew you’d like it, and I’m not wrong I know it’s not that good (am I right?) But you see, it took ages to write And I didn’t know what else to do By the way: happy birthday to you! (Hook) I hope you had a happy birthday And I hope your day was great I also hope that you like this song Even through I wrote it late I hope you had a happy birthday And I hope your day was great I also hope that you like this song Even through I wrote it late (Verse 2) So a happy birthday to the best ever Just so you know I think you’re so clever I hope that your big day was pleasant I’m writing you this song as a present I know that it probably wasn’t necessary But it’s cool that you were born in February Because it means that you’re an Aquarius And I want you to know I find you hilarious (Hook) I hope you had a happy birthday And I hope your day was great I also hope that you like this song Even through I wrote it late I hope you had a happy birthday And I hope your day was great I also hope that you like this song Even through I wrote it late

Yo Cole, could you make a video on how to EQ vocals recorded in a kaotica eye ball?
@ColeMizeStudios10 ай бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion, I try to keep my videos focused strictly on rapping and a video like that is getting into mixing which isn't what people follow me for. There's loads of videos on the internet covering mixing, I've seen ones specific to eqing vocals for the eyeball. Just do a little googling and you should find some. Thanks for rockin with me! ✌😎 - Cole Mize

Your lessons have always been on point. You put definitions and explanations into the habits I’ve built in my mind when I create my songs. People say I sound like biggie but pun was always my inspiration. I idolize pun because he was an extremely large guy like me. Over 700 lbs!! And he was rapping on 16ths like it was nobody’s business!! The breath control was insane. But the reason I sound like biggie is because we share a similar flow and cadence. I LOVE hitting punch lines and rhymes on that 4th beat. I think it makes my delivery hit that much harder. Something I struggle with is my ability to scat. I mean I can scat to the instrumentals I have but I always find myself scatting the same pattern, just with different tempos depending on what I’m listening to. Do you have any advice as to how I could add variety to my scatting so I may be able to develop new cadences?
@ColeMizeStudios11 ай бұрын
Thanks Isaac! Sure thing, as I mention in this video, the more cadences you learn the more versatile your rap flow/scatting will be. The thing is, you already know more cadences than you realize. Try to take 1-2 bars of a song you already know and rap it over the instrumental you're wanting to scat over. This could be a hook or a piece of a verse from a song you already know. The key is wrapping your head around where their cadence starts within the bar so that you can rap it exactly the same over the instrumental. I wish to dig deeper just search "Cole Mize Scatting". I hope this helps! ✌😎 - Cole Mize

@@ColeMizeStudios i use the same technique when im playing with mashups on the tables. just no bars of my own involved , but i hear a familiar vocal cadence in another songs musical tempo/cadence and give it a shot. i believe that considering your bars as another instrument helps alot

Spot on! I'm glad to hear you're already using this technique and yes! We are musical instruments! Keep up the great work! ✌😎 - Cole Mize

Please Can you make video about rap meter? Is it important in rap and how it works? Do Eminem or Kendrick use it?. Thank you
@ColeMizeStudios5 ай бұрын
The way I teach I use the word "cadence" when referring to meter. Rappers are creating musical patterns called cadences along with phonic patterns called rhymes. I highly recommend my playlist on the science of rhyming which explains this in much detail👉 kzbin.info/www/bejne/r5KklWyoaalnpMU I hope this helps! ✌😎 - Cole Mize
