thanks for the video. I cannot get it to work as all it does is move the whole object. When I press G the round circle doesn't come up. If I open a new test project it works. Any ideas? - Corrected - I got it to work by g and then scrolling mouse wheel forward because circle was out of picture and too large, so leads you into an erroneous state. Maybe one thing to say for 'issues that can cause difficulties' in more videos

I was trying to figure out where the sphere of influence indicator was and your comment helped me, thank you. The blender team should make it so that the sphere never gets so big that you can't see it anymore, that's just stupid.

It could be that your circle is too big for you to see it. That was my problem but then I scrolled down more and more until it got small enough to show itself. You can see the Proportional Size radius while you're scrolling, under the bar that shows "Edit mode" (or whichever mode you switch to).

To add on what you covered: There are opportunities you get using project from view checked but not in a 1,3,7 view. One can quickly get organic asymmetrical shapes that look as if they were made with parametric modeling techniques.

I am unable to use the tool as once I select proportional tool and then press "G" to perform the action the complete object starts to move instead of only the vertices. Please help me hear. I have tries my best and am unable to only move vertices while using proportional tool,

[Nevermind, I figured it out] (some objects had edit mode symmetry enabled on the x axis that's why vertices didn'T move together with proportional editing.) Hi, I'm editing multiple selected objects in edit mode. Some vertices moves together when aligned, which is what I want, with proportional editing, but some objects seems to be ignored while they're all based on the same round cube mesh, vertex groups separated by facing direction. I don't understand how some points snapped from different models DO move together in proportional editing... Nor why some refuses to stick to the cursor at all. It's really useful as I am creating a modular mesh trying to keep things organized. Being able to edit the multiple parts of the modular mesh together makes so everything remains aligned until it's booleaned together. How am I making sure that all selected objects works as intended with proportional editing?

Try the page up and page down keys on your keyboard

@@TheCGEssentials and you can mention that sometimes the radius is zero or too big and a user cant see the ring...so page up and page down are essential. also it can only be adjusted in move dynamically active mode which blender needs to change to all the time...or on the top bar when active imho
