I bought the Gramr a couple of months ago and use them + the Fiio FH9 in a portable gaming setup. Very overkill but sounds great both mic and gaming audio.

it sounds like you used your camera microphone in the sound test for all 3 mics since there was no change in sound quality

The Ruyi makes the most sense out of these. If you need a 4.4mm jack or modularity in a cable then maybe the Gramr makes sense. But for 40% more expensive it's hard to justify.

Thanks for this!!! I was originally looking at the Antlion Kimura Duo, but I really want an in-line mute-switch, so now thinking of the Kinera Ruyi mic cable + Truthear Hola iems.

Got the Ruyi after watching your excellent video review (plus a few others). My primary use for it is online gaming on PC. However, the in-line volume controls aren't working for me. Have you tested them on PC?

@@EeK9X It works if you connect to a USB port through a DAC. But Ive returned this Ruyi due to significant sound changes compared to my original IEM cable and a fragile mic connector.

Will the Ruyi be compatible with the Truthear Crin's Red/Blue? I see that it's a "frequently bought together" in Amazon, but I'm also seeing reviews that it doesn't fit recessed connections, since the Blue/Red having recessed sockets, I'm not really sure. No hard information about it on the internet as well.

The amazon page says the Gramr comes with a 3.5mm and a 4.4mm connector but you said 1/4 inch? Which actually is it? Thanks!

i had the gramr and the side with the mic did not fit comfortably onto my aria so i had to take a razor blade and kinda make it longer, i would assume it would be the same with the cheaper cable

Ok, so this is a microphone review but.... It is unfathomable to me that people compare and even like IEMs. My headset of 15 years, a $30 plantronics branded office headset absolutely dominates the pair of HIGHLY TOUTED IEMs I bought. I was basically confused at how IEMs were garnering so much support so I thought, ok I will buy a highly touted budget pair. They are terrible. I literally laughed after plugging them in to my audio amplified "Crystal sound" motherboard. I absolutely HATE the scam artist audiophile reviewers who claim these things are great. Seriously, the pair I bought from amazon had 10k purchased... and 4.2 stars. When I listened to them, they were so bad it boggled my mind. I even downloaded a free equalizer software "FxSound" and tweaked the frequency ranges and improved the sound about 15%. Suffice it to say, IEM

sound rejection is no longer a thing anyone should care about these days. discord literally has it built into their software, every nvidia user has their own, amd has their own, linux has one built in, mac has one built in, and so on. so what's important is having a Clean mic. ML/AI noise suppression is a godsend
