Having a bin for identifying bolts is fine, the other method is reinstalling bolts on the threads from where they came out , and or keeping it attached to the part you removed. It works fine for me

You gotta clean the inside of the MAF sensor. The part you cleaned was the air temp not the MAF. I did the same thing the first time & later found the 2 little wires down that tube and cleaned them. Made my IS run like a new car. Hope this helps!
@Shadowen925
@Shadowen925 2 жыл бұрын
This comment is correct. The part you indicated is the IAT. The MAF is up inside the "tube". However, I would avoid cleaning the MAF unless you have issues. There is a high chance of damage and it's not worth the risk unless you're having issues. (just my opinion)

@@zvonimirsic1952 Your English is fine :) I think I’m just lucky that the seats are leather. They seem to maintain their condition pretty well and don’t get stained like fabric materials. I would honestly suggest maybe getting a custom cat back. You can choose the characteristics from the exhaust maker and the price really isn’t that different. Japspeed use very cheap metal and you get quite a tinny sound from it. Go custom :) it’s really not that expensive.

Wow dear guru sir !!! This is so much educational for people around the whole world … I hope you are paid off for those videos as you deserve to be paid off … now my main question is based on the fact that you own them both IS200 and IS300 and it is: Is it possible to remove the 1G-FE from the IS200 and bolt on the 2JZ-GE from the IS300, will the 2JZ-GE fit in directly in the IS200 engine bay does it have the same mounting in the bay and last but not least will the AZ6 (J160) 6 speed manual will directly fit the 2JZ-GE bolt pattern (no worries the Neat Gearboxes Circlip mod is already in my gearbox) I’m asking cause I’m planning buying 2JZ-GE from 1998 onwards GS300 opening the bottom end and swapping the TT rods and pistons into it and putting the engine into my IS200 and just want confirmation is the entire engine bay is completely same as the IS300 engine bay …? Last one, can I use the IS200 ECU or I need the GS300 ECU as well ?
@shizukesajdm
@shizukesajdm 2 жыл бұрын
Hi there! Thanks for the kind words and thanks for watching. I only get paid for ad revenue, it's not much at all haha! Are you talking about engine swapping between the two cars? The mounting positions and the mounts themselves are different so this is not possible without modification and the correct motor mounts. The J160 will NOT bolt directly to the 2JZ-GE or GTE. you must use an adaptor plate such as this: pmcmotorsport-shop.com/product-eng-2246-Adapter-Kit-Toyota-JZ-1JZ-2JZ-Toyota-Altezza-Lexus-IS200-J160-Aisin-AZ6-first-gen.html It's A LOT of work to swap a 2JZ into an IS200. You'll need the ECU from the IS300 too. It's generally better to swap in a first gen 2JZ-GE since the rods are already strong in that engine. For example, the first gen GS300 or the SC300 have this engine. Good luck! If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask.

@@shizukesajdm Holly crap 😂 I think I’m gonna buy the IS300 wagon directly and then I’ll swap BMW 530D ZF 6 speed manual into it from the same PMCM company for €350 … flywheel for the ZF is also €400 the clutch is the question please give me a hint and of course I’ll definitely buy the shorter ticker rods and at least the GTE pistons (or GE non VVTI pistons), both should handle over 600bhp according to Ali_SC3 from Supra forums and thanks a ton letting me know that IS200 engine bay mounting is completely different than the IS300 !!! You definitely saved me tons of head ache in advance 🤣😂
@shizukesajdm
@shizukesajdm 2 жыл бұрын
@@cpurage This is exactly why I sold my IS200 and bought the IS300. Remember the manual swap will cost A LOT more than you think it will. There's so many little things to remember. Stage 3 clutch if you want over 600hp. You'll need a BMW ZF clutch. The clutch will always match the gearbox, not the engine. You can usually buy the clutch with the flywheel and adaptor plate kit. Call PMC when the time comes and I'm sure they'll be able to provide a kit with everything that you need. Let me know how it goes! :) It'll be a while until I manual swap mine. The cost to covert to a CD009A is around £5-6k.

@@shizukesajdm yesterday I went to trade one Sportcross and I was very amazed by the manual mode of the automatic transmission where you can manually switch the gears from the back of the steering wheel and to even shift down from the top of the steering wheel OMFG !!! This is like a Ferrari !!! Are all of the IS300s having this option or is as an extra feature only for the top end models ? Another question, why does the traction control is kicking in even it is switched off ? This is no fun as you can’t drift with this module :( … you definitely need to remove it … I dunno man I’m very surprised by this monster but in the end of the day I think I’m gonna try swapping in 3S-GE BEAMS or 3S-GTE inside a IS200 body … because I can’t find good bargain IS300 for now… and the price will even go higher I’m 100% sure about it .. !

I am having the same problem after finishing the timing belt job. It makes me hopefully that it is the crank position sensor but I have two error codes p0120 and p1120. It has to do with the throttle connection and mass air flow sensor. All the connections are secure im not sure why im getting those codes but I don’t think they would stop the car from starting. @@is300_Paul yes, the order matters. But it should really only fit one way unless you completely dismantled all the cables. P0120 is a throttle position sensor error. If you're going for 600hp seems like a bit of a waste as the engine will have to come out and be rebuilt anyway

It’s not going to be an immediate engine build :) This also a daily at the moment so there’s quite a lot I have to sort out before the engine build happens. I’ll likely go turbo with about 300whp and then build the engine on a separate occasion. I know there will be a lot of people who’ll want to see content on both.
