Thank you for this nightly stroll in Napoli. LOTS of people. I have been there once on a day trip. The city definitely had 'character' and felt quite different than Rome. Our party had a local guide take us around which was great. Ate a fantastic pizza at 'L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele'. Good memories.

I keep thinking things should get back to normal and I can start filming again. It is strange when so many places are closed and no one is eating at restaurants and filling the cafes. I will head back on my bike and plan out a route here when I can. Thanks for your support!

The first Walking Tours video I saw is the one in Positano. I am Italian and I live in Italy but due to the COVID pandemic I cannot travel as I would like and I am comforted by watching my beloved Italy on KZbin. As soon as I saw this channel I signed up as a supporter and I have to congratulate you for the excellent videos (4K and 360 °) that allow me to virtually shoot for places I know and love and for this I thank you very much. Italy is much more than beautiful cities but even many Italians know little about certain places that are particularly beautiful or particularly interesting: I know places that you couldn't even imagine exist. Wonderful little towns with beautiful architecture and wonderful castles, the only true "Sword in the Rock" or the only "Moai" outside Easter Island sculpted by island people. I could make a long list of places to see and maybe I will do it to make you discover little known but absolutely extraordinary places. I believe that being born in Italy is a great fortune and a great honor for me. Thank you for your love for my land.

Naples look as busy as it was in August when I was there. Sad to see Gambrinus closed, enjoyed having my aperitifs there and their house Prosecco is the best Prosecco I ever tried. Hoping to return once more as I have a voucher for Teatro San Carlo and there are few other things I would like to see and few more pizzas to eat. Not all was great in Naples though, just few steps out of the main streets and the dirt is unbelievable and I got robbed in the broad daylight in the very central location. Even so, Naples has a certain appeal, quite different from anywhere else, and I do plan for return there and to Amalfi Coast which is amazing and, possibly Capri where I was for a short day trip but, after watching Prowalk videos, would like to see more. Thanks for your videos, they are greatly appreciated!

What a delightful walk! So many things to learn: It's 58 degrees but people are dressed like it's 30. So many dressed in black, like it's New York. What does one say about all the girls with heavy jackets but short skirts. December 20, and we hear "merry Christmas" and "buon natale" but see few Christmas decorations. And phone booths, like it's 1975. But a total delight nonetheless! Mmmm, those close-ups of the candies and baed goods: were you hungry when you shot this?

Naples has preserved real personality, in a time where most Euro tourist cities have gentrified into a cutesy stereotype of themselves. Actually it seems to have gentrified in a good way from a bit sketchy past. Too bad the masks may make this vid an odd curiosity in the future.

Hi there, Isaac! Another lively walk through a bustling Naples. The crowds are phenomenal, so businesses must be doing ok even without international tourists. Speaking of that, it would be very helpful for those of us planning a trip to Italy in the next couple of years, what are you hearing from your government, health and tourism officials about a ballpark, possible date to look at reopening the borders to international travel. Is all of 2021 out of the question? My guess would be yes, but what about 2022? What are you hearing? And I'm just now reading a little font on your video asking what was the first Prowalk video I watched. It was your walkthrough of Paris about 3 years ago. I used that as part of my research before my wife and I went in August 2018. What a city. And Strasbourg- oh my, the beauty. But now it's time for a change. It's time for Italy!

Hey Ken, Well, some businesses are hurting more than others. Most restaurants are closed and some are open for take out or delivery only. ..but yeah, things are as busy as ever here. I went out last night to try and find a fuse for my subwoofer, and there were crowds everywhere I went. The shopping center was packed. At 7pm, there were crowds around the fish markets right out onto the streets with everyone waiting to buy the fish that just got delivered. ...I just want a fuse. I couldn't find one. Need to go to Amazon I guess and wait two weeks. So, I haven't really heard much about the status of tourism here. What the people want and what government wants seem to be two different things. I have a friend who is a tour guide at Pompeii and she said they are not expecting to open until the end of Spring. Museums are still closed. The rate of new cases here is decreasing and we are going back to school on Monday so...things seem to be improving. Anyway, for Spring is out for sure but I would think most everything would be open by summer...and that's when cases should be at their lowest. Pretty hard to say where it is all going.

It is the tradition of the "passeggiata", the moment of the day that Italians dedicate to socializing. In many countries of the world people leave their homes because they have an appointment or a date, because they want to go shopping or because of work commitments, while Italians leave their homes with the sole purpose of walking aimlessly and socializing. You can also go shopping or eat but that is not the main purpose, "passeggiata" means being next to your relatives and friends and meeting old and new acquaintances. Koreans and Italians have a completely different way of life, so I suppose it makes perfect sense that the streets of Seoul aren't as busy as those of Naples.

we were closed in lockdown until 18/12 and from 24/12 we will be in lockdown again. Only one week of freedom since septebmer. Two days before Christmas, it is normal to see everyone going to buy gifts. Being a strongly Catholic nation and attached to traditions, Christmas is a big thing here and it is an opportunity to be with all relatives, eat together and celebrate. This year they banned us. So I understand who goes out for a walk this week. I don't know what Korean holiday, you can compare it, excuse my ignorance.

The Naples metropolitan areas has more than 3 million people. There are a lot of smaller municipalities that are attached to the main city. Also, it is very densely populated, meaning there are a lot of people in a limited space. It's the most densely populated in Italy and 7th in Europe.

@@h.b.0301 I just compared it to Seoul. Just compared to Korea, Europe seems to be crowded compared to the population.
