The Ultimate JLT Catch Can Install Guide. Ford F-150 and Raptor.

Today I am going to be installing a JLT 3.0 Catch Can on my 2020 Ford F-150 Raptor. It’s a very easy install but I thought I would shoot a quick video on how to do it.
I purchased this JLT 3.0 Black Oil Separator from American Trucks. You will find the link below.

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS.
STEP 1: Pop the hood.
STEP 2: Remove the engine cover.
STEP 3: Locate and remove the PCV connection on the passenger side of the engine.
STEP 4: Locate and drill the hole needed for the JLT catch can bracket.
STEP 5: Install the mounting tabs for the JLT catch can bracket.
STEP 6: Use the provided bolt fasteners to screw the bracket in.
STEP 7: Use the provided screws to attach the JLT catch can to the mounting bracket.
STEP 8: Connect the catch can to the previous PCV connections.
STEP 9: Install the engine cover back on.
Your JLT Catch Can should now be installed and ready to go!

Thanks for posting, My kit came with no instructions, only change I made is cut my mounting bracket by 2 inches. I did not want it too high

I run JLT catch cans on all my vehicles.... Its always a good thing to keep the blowby out of the intake.... Fortunately for us G3 owners they added PFI to help with valve deposits during idle and low demand driving, but its not 100%. G2 owners should absolutely be running a catch can system IMHO...

So on the engine cover you placed the intake hose directly on the engine cover bolt. Did you not have to move it to bolt the cover down?

What was the wire he unplugged for the mount? Looks like a ground wire. Is it not needed?

How about cleaning the can filter after a period of time? Gotta be gummed i'd assume.

Great video! I'm thinking about doing this to my 2020. Now that you've had it for a few months, how much accumulation are you seeing? If it is a very small amount, I'm debating if it's even worth it, since the gen2's port injectors will burn it up any way. And avoid any possible warranty issues if the dealer wants to cause a problem. However, if it's a significant amount, then the hassle would be worth it for the longevity and performance of the engine.
