I like putting an xyz body in the EMZ, because that forces link decks to summon in the other EMZ, so you only need to lock 2~3 zones to block important link arrows for plays like transcode revive, parallel exceed, wicckid, crystal heart, and many more...

A note on the whole putting Shangri ira in the emz or not and blocking spells vs monster zones: the way I've understood it was you put Shangri ira in the emz so that one is used, then if you're blocking monster zones, you block the ones adjacent to the OTHER emz, to try and halt link plays like dragon link. Although tbh this is probably more relevant in Bo3 when you know what your opp is playing already, so really just block with your heart friends lol

I'm goofing around with an Anti-Kashtira Kashtira deck(I'm unironically running a D.Barrier as a Thrust target, and Illegal Knight in my Adventure Engine is also pretty nasty against them). One of the most ridiculous things about Ariseheart is that you can use an opponent's Shangri-Ira effect to activate the alternative XYZ summon function, Talents and Change of Heart are BRUTAL in the Mirror because of that. In cases where I'm forced to sit on a single Ariseheart or Shangri-Ira in the EMZ(going first basically), I've found Eagle Booster to be pretty useful as protection, and since I'm on an Adventure Engine package I also run Hornet Drones as an alternative target for Dracoback if the Adventure Token gets removed or its summon negated(which helped edge me out through an intense battle with a Scareclaw player taking advantage of their new card(s)). If you don't have the Main/Extra deck space for a Striker package then some Forbidden Lances, a few extra Generic Rank 7s, and a Gravity Controller to clear out the EMZ to access your Shangri-Ira mats are also effective options.

I'd pulled royal unicorn and riseheart from rage of chaos, so I felt obligated to gamble UR dust on crafting multiple arise for the multi-royal-single-archetype flex. For once, the rng gods were on my side. 18k gems into flames of fury and 240 ur dust later, I crafted royal ariseheart!

depending on your hand and if you have any idea what the opponent is playing, it can bet better to make a second shargri and then overlay it for arise so that it already has 3 materials. all that you miss out on by doing this is unicorn which is a pseudo interruption anyway

if you're able to pull out your punk combos before doing your kash combos, it'll be pretty good beginning your kash combos will kill your punk cards

Be careful about using shangri ira in standby, if op opens fenrir they can use it to go into their own ariseheart and threaten zeus. Also a great reason to run talents

One thing thats been winning me the mirror match going second is that you can summon your own Ariseheart if your opponent activates their Shangri. Summon Arise, attack then Zeus board wipe will usually lead to a scoop

I found that a gravity controller is a good card to use. Summon two 7 sevens (riseheart must be normal summoned) go into Absolute Dragon then gravity controller.

@kami7028 I wouldn't call the deck braindead, I mean sure locking 5 zones is braindead but the way to do that is pretty complicated, you have to banish certain cards, detach cards to add to hand to special summon, use cards in the correct order or you mess the entire combo

For the 2nd to last combo, the point of baronne is to potentially stop a hand trap on unicorn search for spell. Activating unicorn before you summon baronne to protect is a nuance you completely neglected This might be rude but is there a plan on differentiating yourself from other MD youtubers? I read a comment that you're basically a discount dkayed which sucks because competition and variety is always good, but your combos vids are less detailed, pack openings are less packs yet somehow longer, and you even use mdm which is made by a competitor. Been subbed for a while but now I can't unnotice the comparison
