The ULTIMATE LEGO Harry Potter Hagrid’s Hut COMPARISON! (2001 - 2024)

Welcome to the ULTIMATE LEGO Harry Potter Hagrids Hut COMPARISON featuring EVERY Hagrids Hut ever made, including the brand new 2024 set that LEGO sent me early to make content on! I've decided to take a trip down memory lane and see how this set compares to it's older versions and I must say... I am far from disappointed!

The 2019 version is easily my favourite. It's just a movie-accurate set. If the 2024 set had 2 sections, it would have been great.

The 2024 set is movie accurate to the Philosophers Stone, which it is depicting when the trio meets Norbert. There is change to Hagrid’s Hut and the majority of Hogwarts throughout the movies, the biggest happening between Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban

@@KennethRobinette Ah of course! I totally blanked on that. Prisoner of Azkaban is my fav movie though, so that's why I probably still prefer the 2019 set.

I like the 2019 version the least, not a big fan of having to buy the same set twice to get a single closed building, or to be forced to place it right against the wall to make it look presentable as is. I also prefer the pre Prisoner of Azkaban version of Hagrids hut and in terms of movie accurateness the 2024 version definetly wins.

Ooh I think I’m sold on upgrading my 2019 set to the 2024 version- it looks amazing!! The Hagrid fig and Fang were the reasons I was thinking about it initially, but I love that the building closes and the design is awesome!

I was so happy when I got the 2004 one back in the day. Hagrid was, at the time my favourite character, so I was so excited to get him. Although I thought the box was discoloured from the sun, so you can imagine my surprise when I opened it and the figures weren't yellow either. The 2011 one was also very nice, I loved the small improvements and details like the portraits, but the build was too similar to the one I owned to justify buying it. 2019 was a very nice change, from the outside it looked great, but the interior left much to be desired compared to the previous 2. Luckily 2024 knocked it out of the park, it basically took what worked for every other version and made the ultimate hut. I doubt they can top it in this scale. Only a fully enclosed PoA one could be interesting to see.

I wish the door on the 2024 one had a print or at least a sticker to give it some detail. It’s such a flat brown piece. Also wish the grass was not the bright green, but more of the mossy green. Otherwise it’s pretty much perfect.

Loved your video and the last vid you did on this hut. great to see them all together. I wish i got the 2010 set when it was around, i was more on the Star Wars buzz but did get the castle and the train still boxed from 2010, i still like the 2019 set. Still no new batteries for the 2010 set, if you do not change them i would suggest removing them in case they leak as this can happen when not used, even if it is out of power.

I had NO IDEA the first one had a roof like that, I thought they were stickers. That hut looks very medieval almost.

The 2001 roof is quite frankly the worst thing I have ever seen, but I got the set three years ago cuz while the sets hideous I’m still a fan of vintage sets 🤣

I love the 2024 set also. I really think you could take the two house 2019 and the 2004 and come up with an awesome hut. Now I don’t like the rubbery pieces on the 2024. This seems to be a trend with Disney Lego. The pterodactyls all have rubber beaks and may of the larger dinosaurs hame rubber tipped tails. Yes I know it’s for child safety but after awhile these pieces discolor and just look horrible. If China makes a knockoff of the 2024 set I may buy it just to have the hard plastic pieces. Awesome video btw.

I'm sorry, but how dare you call the first set a monstrosity. It's a wonderful set with lots of Lego ingenuity for the time of release. Also, if you pre-bend the edges, it fits together better.

i have the 2019 version, i was thinking of getting the new one as a not screen accurate extension of that set but i'm not sure now.

The 2019 set was the best. It had a light up brick and just had much more playability. Also we got more minefigures in 2019.
