Super good video, I was wondering if in season 5 you see any potential with grapple? I'm a grapple lover personally, I like the extra quick plugs, faster rotates, grapple hopping, high ground access. But I was wondering if that's worth it compared to cloak? Or if cloak is just dominant? I have more fun with grapple, I'm still climbing, but I don't want to stall myself out having fun when I want to be the best player I can be. TLDR: Does grapple have potential to compete with cloak provided you play it right, or is cloak just superior? And what about your playstyle would you change if you were to use grapple if it is something you could swap to

As a Light main that just wanted to do something different from the standard M11/LH1 I'm so happy you put me onto the M26. Been enjoying the massive burst damage and damage per mag since your World Champ tourney W. Great weapon for going against Model mains and chunking heavy HP. Also being able to output damage without having to fully commit to a peek with only 150hp, utilizing crouch shots and A D corner strafes while not taking damage. I thought it was a shit weapon before seeing how effective you were with it.

I would confidently say it like the others it was a really useful guide for light players like myself. I will use every tip here since I got a little rusty thanks to s3 and for the life of me couldn't get past 31k rating to get myself that sweet XP-54 diamond skin(I doubt I can get the ruby one this season) but I still want to say I got to diamond by playing light only just like in s2(those were some good days).And lastly I want to congratulate you for you tournament win and keep up the good content. Edit: others say that you carry legitimacy by winning(that is true) so we can say we shouldn't take your words "light"ly.

I already do most of these. Honestly, anyone who plays Light extensively knows these tips: extra mileage with Gateway, the Jump pad + Gateway combo, and nade animation canceling (which isn’t very useful most of the time). That said, I think the main reason people keep saying Light is weak is because they don’t understand the fundamentals. I completely agree with that, still, I think much of it boils down to common sense, positioning, dodging skills and experience. When it comes to kit utility, I consider Cloaking Device a throw pick (at least until they revert it to how it was back in Season 1). Grappling Hook is far superior because it offers improved map control, better overall mobility, and makes the most out of Gateway (also, the vanishing bomb exists so, yeah). It even lets you increase your tempo enough to steal the second box if youre proficient enough Using the M26 just because you like triple shotguns isn’t a good enough reason to consider it a viable option. To me, it’s a mid-tier or niche weapon at best. If you’re not running the M11 or LH1, you’re making your life harder for no real reason. Most of Light’s weapons are solid, but I prefer to stick with the secure, low risk high reward options. Light is the best class in terms of synergy between weapons and specializations. Not having Sonar is criminal. This gadget isn’t just about its utility but also about the psychological effect of making the enemy know you’ve spotted them. Thermal Vision, on the other hand, is hardly useful unless you’re extremely colorblind or have a monitor with very low gamma. Otherwise, just increasing your brightness settings is more effective than using Thermal. This is coming from a guy who touched Emerald 1, solo queuing, as Light.

Nice video man, but i feel like you kinda glossed over why you use cloaking device and how to use it most effectively.

A lot of people in high elo can track evasive dash movement which what makes it less viable then cloaking device. Grapple hook unfortunately suffers the viability with it being only one charge. Cloak on the other hand allows you to safely push a team and potentially move your team toward an objective if paired with Gateway. Very versatile tool which is why if you're not running cloak, you mainly want vanishing bomb in your loadout
