Vicky you really brought across the sense of the special and exceptional that this car is, seeing one in the flesh at Goodwood was to be in the presence of something else all together, how lucky are you that you got to drive it too!

Finally an excellent truthful review of the ride quality of the Phantom. 99% of the time the ride is excellent except for the low speed ride where you can sometimes feel tiny shiver through the rear axel. THANK YOU for not stating it's perfect perfect. Vicky I want to see you review many more cars and provide that much detail into the ride, steering, and handling. THANK YOU!!

Most people don't realize how massive these cars are until they see one in person. They are massive. The frame for this car is impressive. Check out KZbin for videos on its construction and you'll see building features no other car company on the planet has equalled. The design is a little sterile and stogy and the rear-three-quaters is especially weak and underwhelming. Still, another great review from CGs! Your team does a good job of comprehensively outlining every car you profile... even ones very few people can buy.

Honestly, I prefer the new Ghost. It just looks a lot better, more modern, more sleek and aerodynamic than the Phantom VIII, but I guess that's the point. The Phantom VIII is supposed to be a bit more old-world than the Ghost.

One downside though, finding a top level chauffeur is more difficult than ‘commissioning’ a Phantom 8 10:35. It’s six and three quarters 😁 not 6.75 🥸

@@jackj5368 that’s what Bentley’s are for. It’s an old adage, The ole RR is no more than a posh hotels taxi. It is stunning but sadly even if the owner is driving it, the perception will be that they’re just the chauffeur taking the car for a service or filling it up ⛽️ 😬

Bmw did very well owning rolls Royce because I think that Mercedes Benz even though I live the brand would not have made the rolls Royce it is today meaning allowing the company to remain classic and possibly limiting the options on the car like the maybach brand. Mercedes-Benz produces a better s class than the 7 series but bmw builds a better rolls than the maybach

Wow, what an amazing review - made me smile, laugh and I learnt something new about this car. Vicky is hands down my favourite presenter on KZbin. The Phantom 8 is also epic and unlike the Cullinan which I understand at a commercial level but hate on every other, I think the 8 improves on the looks of its predecessor. It combines the neat trick of being effortlessly and definitively superior to anything else on the road without looking flash or cheap.

How can you promote such polluting dinosaurs?
@rare64993 жыл бұрын
Probably less polluting than a small electric car that gets used everyday. Phantom’s don’t tend to do much mileage, and they last for decades. This car will probably be around in fifty years. So over its lifetime, frankly it’s probably pretty good. Unlike someone who buys an electric car on PCP and changes it every three years convincing themselves they are saving the world.
