#NeverGiveUp The future is bright for us finally, after so many times where a Saturday evening I'd be a mess of depression as we were dragged through the mire by seemingly everyone, culminating in the 10 point deduction and watching the days tick by to the October deadline before extinction, now it's relief, and the hope of getting out of the National League, even getting excited about new signings, we weren't allowed to make any for 18 months!

I have full respect for the football club. I have been to Roots Hall and I live near Southend-on-Sea. Ron Martin who was in charge of the club promised fans that he would deliver a new era including a new stadium at Fossetts Way. But instead he has lead the club to so much financial difficulties and almost got the club into extinction. But glad he’s now gone and new owners have taken over the club and I have a feeling that this football club could one day return to the EFL.

I hope they have made the right decision in staying there at Roots Hall football is about how much you can generate through the turnstiles and hospitality but good luck but let’s be honest we have seen a lot of clubs go under because they refused to move with the times.

It wasn't much of a decision, Fosters farm belonged to the chairman and disconnecting that land dispute from the club was a fairly important step in saving the club
