I have to say, my heart broke a little when you said “Oh, Prada does these as well”, regarding the serial number. Try traveling to Tokyo Japan they sell Original lux brands for less like LV , Channel , Gucci ,Coach ,YSL etc for less its still more pricey than the fakes and still in good condition i just dont know how the costoms works in the USA if they will still tax you 2nd hand lux items but sure either buy the brand new *esluxs* you want or travel half the world away to buy 2nd hand lux items for few days that also includes your plane ticket hotel accomodations for how many days food and goodie stuffs for families and friends and other expencess but they said " original LV Bag from Japan for less " or just travel to Bangkok thailand and visit the Platinum Mall buy as many replica bags all you want w/o the hassel

There was a very recent documentary and they were interviewing very well-off women. These women were speaking about how they no longer purchase authentic purses and have chosen to purchase really good *esluxs* of the designer bags that they do like. They then take that saved money and invest their money into other things such as real estate, stocks etc.

First look into Gigi's gown I thought flowers garden, very classy, beautiful silhouette, suit/dress like count/countess, cute. I had a second look now and it looks like she's a flower coming out of a disintegrating suit. Like what was left of the Count's suite became a beautiful garden again. A take on time and the inevitable cycle of creation, destruction and creation. Is this what they were aiming for? Genius.

This was a fun theme that I feel was a lot easier to interpret than some in previous years and really looked forward to the DRAMA that might come down the carpet. I absolutely loved Taylor Russell and Tyla and the moving butterflies!!! Holy crap, that was a moment and I think that should have been in MET History! Just an FYI, Cara's outfit was actually refreshingly on theme as at least one person on that team actually read the short story and decided to do something that wasn't just a flower. One of the central "characters" in the story is an army mob that is held off by plucking "time flowers" which eventually run out. It's a very good story and worth the read. It's only 6 pages long and can easily be found online.

Bad Bunny’s outfit seemed to be the only one that referenced the encroaching army from the story. The military stripes on the pants though moved to the inseam, and the Jacket that read like padded armour were genius. The moment was the conquest of the garden and obtaining the flowers. I loved this outfit.

I cannot believe you didn’t put the Iris van Herpen on Mona Patel in “Met History”. She was a walking garden attracting butterflies, then the movement of the butterflies brought in the aspect of time, both by appearing as living elements and in the mechanical “clockwork” aspect. That was THE outfit of the night. That one really deserves to be in Met History

First of all, thanks for posting the reaction vid so quickly, Cassie! I have to preface my post by saying I feel like the Grinch who stole Christmas tonight. I’m going to have to disagree about Zendaya’s second look - I found it as underwhelming as the first. I also didn’t like her look from inside the gala as well. Maybe it was the hair and makeup, too? Because I don’t think her Met Gala carpet looks gelled this year. Unfortunate, as I’m normally a huge fan of her outfits. Apparently Anna Wintour originally wanted a theme dedicated to John Galliano’s history as a designer but was talked out of it (because of his scandalous past). She did manage to get two of her co-chairs in Galliano - Zendaya in two looks and Bad Bunny in one - although I don’t think it paid off for Zendaya. Agree about Tyla and Tyler’s looks though - although Tyla’s isn’t Met history worthy to me. I don’t find it memorable.
