Pretty solid list. I personally prefer St Anger to either Load (at least the songs are aggressive and not more radio rock.) And I’d switch the black album and Death Magnetic. But that’s me, your list is totally legit.

To be fair it's almost impossible to pick a "worst song" on Master of Puppets. Gun to head if I had to pick a worst song on MoP it would be between Disposable Heroes and Damage Inc. Don't get me wrong they are still great songs. Just the others are stronger IMO.

I might be a little bias considering I gained consciousness and grew up with my dad playing death magnetic, but man I think that album deserves so much more love. And Judas kiss is criminallyyyyy underrated, same with Kirk’s solo. That and Unforgiven III he really put out for the album. Some like end of the line and just your life solos I can live without, but man there’s some gems on that thing

I am pretty sure that on the streaming services they don’t use the original master. I think a couple years after the release of this album, even iTunes did their own remaster since it sounded so bad. If you listen to the CD version it sounds way worse.

I do not like Of Wolf And Man. Easily my weakest choice from Black. I’m currently listening to all of Metallica’s studio albums and ranking the songs as I go. So far the only entries in S tier are One, Battery, Dyers Eve, Master of Puppets, and Unforgiven 3. So far Master and Justice are my 2 highest ranked albums, they have the most songs rated 9 or higher for me. 3rd and 4th so far are Death Magnetic and Black album. I like them both a lot but the quality is more sporadic on both imo. RTL is 5th and Load is 6th. I’ve yet to fully hear KEA, Reload, StAnger, Hardwired B-side, and 72Szns so definitely more to come

Justice>MOP in my opinion and I’ll tell you why. Justice was the peak of practically every member’s musical ability and creativity with their instruments, including unique song structure and the fricken pissed off attitude you can just feel. People tend to overlook Justice for a few pretty valid reasons but if you can get past the lack of bass, no Cliff, and the weird proggy elements it’s simply their best album. Also blackened is my favorite song as well.

my ranking of the metallica albums i heard so far including my personal favorites and least favorites with ratings and why (i will uptade this) 1. master of puppets (defninitely not my favorite album of all time [my favorite is rust in peace] but this is their best studio album) 10/10 favorite: welcome home (sanitarium) (i changed my mind the harmonies are so good in my opinion it has better harmonies than room of mirrors) least favorite: master of puppets (i don't know why but the studio version of this just sound 💩) 2. ride the lightning (i don't get why people say this is metallica's best album to be honest i'm not saying it's bad by any means it's still awesome) 9.5/10 favorite: ride the lightning (kirk's best solo hands down and one of dave's best riffs here ktulu used to be my favorite it's close though) least favorite: escape (yeah it's the weakest) 3. and justice for all (would have been their best album if it wasn't for the loud asf guitars and drums that james and lars mixed [yes lars and james did the mixing for justice]) 9.25/10 favorite: blackened (the best opening the band created and that god damn fill) least favorite: eye of the beholder (pretty repetitive but still great and sounds better live) 4. self titled/the black album (hands down the best sounding metallica album of all time) 9/10 favorite: wherever i may roam (the harmonies, the riffs, the sitar intro, just to name a few things about this masterpiece my friend of misery is a close 2nd) least favorite: don't tread on me (not an american but still good) 5. kill 'em all (dave mustaine wrote some killer riffs here but the black album's production and the fact my favorite song is there makes me put this lower also i'm not a fan of raw mixing) 8.5/10 favorite: phantom lord (very underrated track no remorse is a close second) least favorite: metal militia (pretty messy and confusing but still good) 6. hardwired... to self destruct (my favorite of their three modern albums) 8/10 favorite: hardwired (this lords of summer and spit out the bone are my favorites but i prefer hardwired more) least favorite: manunkind (the bass intro really carries this and i didn't expect to be so groovy it's still the weakest) 7. death magnetic (the only thing keeping this from being my favorite of the three modern albums is the mixing but it's still awesome) 7.75/10 favorite: that was just your life (it kinda reminds me of blackened i don't know why) least favorite: end of the line (i honestly like it but it's still the weakest) 8. 72 seasons (honestly their latest is not that bad to be honest but i think it's the worst of their three latest albums) 7.5/10 favorite: inamorata (absolute masterpiece) least favorite: if darkness had a son (kirk's worst solo) 9. load (really underrated album the only reason this is above reload it's because the hidden gems here are in my opinion better) 7.25/10 favorite: the outlaw torn (i do not care if it's long it's a masterpiece and the pre-chorus is my favorite part absolute masterpiece) least favorite: poor twisted me (just awful) 10. reload (like i said there are better hidden gems in load and overall this album is really good and really underrated) 6.75/10 favorite: the unforgiven II (i'm a brazilian myself but i don't understand why they love this) least favorite: slither (very generic, boring, badly made and just terrible overall) 11. st anger (i forgot to add st anger and uhhh yeah it's definitely their worst studio album still got some decent songs) 4/10 favorite: sweet amber (awesome breakdown and solid overrall for the album but not for metallica st anger is a close second) least favorite: purify (uhhhhh yeah just no) honorable mention: garage inc. (i will listen to this later on but i'll leave it here as a mention until it gets to the list i will also seperate it from the 2 discs) favorite of disc 1: turn the page (replacing the saxophone with a guitar works so well i don't know why) least favorite from disc 1: die die my darling (it's not bad it's just weak compared to most i listened so far) favorite from disc 2: breadfan (in my opinion one of their best covers and a badass way to stary a concert) leasr favorite from disc 2: blitzkrieg (same thing as die die my darling not bad but weak compared to the rest) garage inc. is an honorable mention and will make the list any second now

I disagree with Room of Mirrors being underrated, thats all I hear people talk and post about from this album. I'd regard it as overrated in my opinion. The vocals are great but that's all for me. I find it super cheesy especially the music video for it, and also a bit generic. But thats just my humble opinion. But yet again I also think magnetic is miles better then the last 2 albums. If only it had the production they have now 😢

Inomorata may be 11 minutes but has variety and is listenable all the way through. And has one of the best harmonies metallica has ever done. Also to many it feels like a closer of a trilogy to My friend of Misery and Fixxxer.
