In this video, DJ Ethan Stone from IconDJ.com demonstrates his minimalist mobile DJ setup which is completely self contained (no power source needed.)

Right on, I still have my Z1 (good to see it's still working, even if the app seems to have bit it) and just upgraded from iPad 3 to 10, had a break from djing and now want to get back into it. Can you tell me what you are using to connect the iPad and the Z1 now? I guess USB-C to USB. I was also telling people years ago that touch screen would eventually be the future of djing, and that was after me doing many years of djing techno / minimal on vinyl. The only sucky part is this Djay Pro using a subscription, wish they would just sell it straight, at least a medium features version. The subscription has way more than I would need and the basic version is really basic. Thanks for the demo! I agree withy you, minimal i the way to go with all this tech, more practical.

I had this a while back, then I sold it during lockdown. Got too many controllers that I have to clean up some of my stuff. Sadly, this is one of the mininalist controller. The downside is just I cannot control the music without a jogwheel

Hi Ethan, Is this an iPad Pro with an M1/M2 chip? I've not seen anyone else online that has been able to get the Z1 going with the sound and controls working on an M1/2.

2014 was the last time I used Traktor in the iPad.. as the best matching was always a mess in Software to my standards and there was no time correction possible like speeding up or breaking .. did. it finally change?

Still missing the times of the cdj1000mk2s you brought one map of cds and your headphones and that’s it. I started prior the cdj100 have been released with vinyl - yea carrying those to the club was just a pain in the ass .. the golden times guaranteed m you to have the same player in every club so there was no need to carry shit. Like we had the 12X0 technics mk2 before that.

I believe they changed that in NI, I bought Z1 myself for use like this but I am not able to do so since they made it (recently) to use only with Traktor Pro 3 and for desktop use. I use Z1 now with X1Mk3 and am quite happy
