I had someone come to me on my livestream around 2 weeks ago asking if I had done a minion tier list or could make one. I was kind of surprised I hadn't, considering that minions are my favourite aspect of this game, so I went out, gathered some opinions and came up with a well-rounded and thought out tier list!

This tier list is amazing. Going over groups of minions gets the idea across very clearly on which minions to use. If you had stuttered through all 30 or so minions individually like how people do in some tier lists... Well....

emerald minion can be used for bank cooldown so it should be in the situational tier, sand also 1 tier higher because its a budget afk setup, and ice down 1 tier because... its ice. Clay should be a tier down because the money is eh and fish minion is far better for xp

Funny thing about the redstone minion... I actually left skyblock for 1 and a half month because I am travelling and coming back, and when I came back I made 15M coins with the super compacter 3000, enchanted lava. There's only 3 minions that have the super compacter 3000 because I was poor at that time.

Gold minions are somewhat good for early game players, I have strong drag and an fot but I use 14 t7 gold minions with compactors, auto smelters and medium storages and when they are completely full which takes like 3-4 days when i collect them i can make about 1.2m by crafting it into e gold ingots

creeper should be a tier up since gunpowder is a hard to get collection like ghast tear and there is a couple recipes in gunpowder that are better than the ghast tear recipes (explosive bow and creeper pants are somewhat a little better than a sliver fang, correct me if I'm wrong cause both have little in game use). also, enderman minion should be 1 or 2 tiers up due to the fact you can get some quick and easy 15k collection in a week and enderman farming isn't that fun and you'll have to grind 16+ hours or something for that same collection, which i bet not many people have that time. also, its in the recipes for voidling minions (also, what tier would voidling minions be?) additionally, lapis should be in top tier since its supper useful for early game. i have like 8 tier 6 lapis minions and i make something like 300k ish with only a compactor and small storage and no budget hopper, and i bet id earn almost twice as much with medium storage tier 7s with budget hoppers, which is very good money for early game

Yeah coal is great, but it's not anything special. This trend applies to a lot of minions, why would you use something decent if you can just use THE BEST for what you need?

@@vinges5255 Melon has been terrible for me, snow just doesn't give insane money (good money, great EXP and is very affordable) If you're looking for money better than coal, lapis is a great shout though sheep, rabbit and tara are great options.

More like it had risen up in price byALOT and now it is stable again xD I got 1.5m every day with lapis cause it rises up in price but now it is back to normal so I get my normal 1.2m per day

Lapis hovers around 400 - 1000 coins per e lapis and has always stayed top 10 for money. I would think that's pretty stable (it's currently at 750 coins per)

clay minions are amazing to carry you through mid game, about 10 to 15 clay minions with super compactors, diamond spreading and enchanted lava buckets (all items in mid game price range in order to buy in bulk) about 10 of those minions will gain you about 6-9 million coins every week. those numbers add up and if you want any additional upgrades, of course we know early game has alot of zealot killing so you can farm zealots to spend money on extra upgrades to get about 10million per week. i think the most useful for mid game is clay.

Honestly I recommend getting the ice minion I have a 6 T11 ice minion setup and so far made 26mil off them from selling frozen scythes Also i have 2 T11 clay minions with enchanted hoppers and have made about 2mil off them so I would recommend getting them two

As a user of gravel minions I totally agree with Modern here, the collection isn't to great except for the critical potion (but who even uses regular pots these days just buy a god pot) BUT with the right setup it can be a GREAT money making minion for late mid to early late game. With my all t9 sc3000 ench lava bucket flint shovel minions I make around 500k per day, BUT I only have 6 so for example if I had the MAX amount of minion slots (which is 39 to my knowledge) all same setup I would be making 3.250 mil a day which isn't too shabby (on that I'm trying to say it makes enough money I'm happy with) so yeah

everyone sleeps on the gravel minion, just place a flint shovel in one of its upgrade slots and it makes 10x more cash instantly. You don't need a crazy setup and i would even add that they probably make it slower than just regular with flint shovel

I would put the cobblestone minion at one level higher; due to being the main component of the super compactor. Super Compactors sell quite well on the bazaar; usually over 600k per unit. Cobblestone minions also make good use of diamond spreading; until you get snow or ice. Also cobblestone minions are the easiest and fasted minions to level up. My main minions were cobblestone, lapis, and redstone for the longest time. I eventually was able to unlock 25 minion slots and give them all Super Compactors and diamond spreading. You could literally make 600k a day as a mid tier player through just the afk system in skyblock.

If you are just starting then get as many redstone and cobblestone minions as you will need a lot of redstone and cobble stone to get a lot of different things like compactors for your minions and any enchantment book. This is for early game though when you first start you will need A LOT of cobblestone if you want to get these things called compactors that will allow your minions to hold more stuff. Look up super compactor 3000 to find the recipe for the compactors to get started on those if you want to farm just about anything. also you will want a compactor 4000 for yourself if you are going to farm stuff like wheat and sugar cane and a compactor 4000 has a compactor 3000 as part of the recipe.

I had thought about this like cactus, but from what I've seen shroom farms are super easy to make and can also be farmed relatively easily on the mushroom desert. Things might have changed since the biome got revamped but I'm pretty sure cactus is very difficult to farm on the island and you have to use either minions or a farm.

Update now if u want to very very quickly get a treecap and quite good money for the minion piece voidlings are still very good I get the recipe and enough obsidian for a treecapitator in about 5 days

Quartz minions right now are very good for money, especially for early game, as quartz is used for juju and will be stable price for quite a while. Not much setup is needed for it either, for early game its a 10k Compactor, A t7 quartz minion is like 150k, and some cheap fuel like enchanted coal, and boom you have like 60k overnight, * by 10, and you have 600k a night. Also this is the price of quartz when the comment is written, so the price will probably go down, when you read this

Diamond minions (with any compactor) is really good early game to make it into all diamond can make early to mid game players get lots of money

Fun fact : if you try getting a drill in the dwarven mines (atleast from what i remember), it would be around 76.8k diamonds BY HAND, lets say you have 100% chance of getting 3 diamonds per ore, still needing to mine 25.6k ores in order to get the drill, so yes, diamond minions are worth from start to mid game because they'll serve a little bit, and then theres just a couple other minions like diamond's, such as redstone, lapis, gold in some cases, in general, minions are GOOD whenever you need to not only find, but move yourself towards a block that you may need to dig thousands and thousands of time, some minions escape this rule, such as fishing minions, they're pretty good, and fishing doesnt necessarily need you to move, but takes atleast a couple seconds for 1 item :D Edit : im agreeing with you, but i see in other comment sections about minions that diamond minion (and other usefull ones) are "trash" because you can move to a private server or a nearly empty one and mine all you want by yourself :)

Yeah but that's a very minimal thing. I know you can say this for every collection, but you could get someone to craft it for you so it would probably only be a situational minion.
