It's becoming clearer that the beauty of the mouse support is that no-one else (as far as I'm aware) offers half a controller for your other hand. So even if it means Nintendo offering a better dedicated mouse for more comfort, you could still have the other JoyCon as an excellent - arguably better - alternative to keyboard input. It could even be made compatible with the OG Switch (the dedicated mouse). But now with it being in the JoyCon for Switch 2 it's fully equipped for on the go and there will be far more games to use it coming over. It's highly optical the more I think of it.

Really Good points and well made Andres. Around 14:00 in particular. It's still all very exciting as MK'9' is pretty much a shoe in for a Launch window title. But of course; with that being the actual Exclusive Switch 2 game, the Single-player category is wide open and all things from the Switch 1 launch point towards they want both Audiences / Experiences checked and catered for. Still get all giddy and happy at how amazing Beyond looks!

I think it’s likely tbh. Have The new Mario kart as the switch 2 exclusive launch title and then have Metroid Prime 4 as a cross gen on switch 1 and switch 2 so people with the original switch can play it if they don’t want the new console yet.

Totally agree with the playtest program stuff at the end there. And since it seems like it would be a pack-in game with NSO (assumed bc of microtransactions) it would be able to sit nicely alongside Mario Kart and MP4 without eating at any other game sales.

I think $399.99.is reasonable price for Nintendo for the time we are in $449.99 a bit high but it is Nintendo some people may not be fully on board at first, And $499.99 Man this machine better make you breakfast

Something I think is worth considering is what if Mario Kart is the launch title beacuse this time around the experimental title IS the Day 1 Singleplayer experience. I’m actually thinking about it now. Still Think Prime 4 will release 3-4 after the launch so will still get some of that early adopter crowd

- Metroid Prime will be the launch title, with another small gimmicky game to show off some functionality of the Switch 2 (something like 1 2 Switch) - Mario Kart 9 will be released a month later as a safety net & to cater to the wide audience. - 3D Mario game will be released in the last quarter of this year. I can also see a Fire Emblem game releasing in April, some other ports/remasters too.

I'm more hyped for Switch 2 than I was for Switch 1 for some reason, I really hope we'll get lots of updates for our already existing library. Pretty sure most games with an unstable framerate will run at a locked framerate of 30 and 60 depending on the game.

Usually Nintendo likes to have an EPD4 game at launch. So I think we’ll get that plus, Metroid as the big singleplayer game. Mario Kart could come soon after mimicking what they did with Switch 1, which makes sense because it’s their most successful console.

If Nintendo is smart, they will have Mario Kart at launch, and Pokémon ZA no later than holiday (with a summer Switch 2 launch) with Prime 4 as a cross generation title in the fall. Switch 2 would greatly benefit from those titles being exclusive, as they drive console sales. Prime 4 would benefit from being on both, to maximize its sales.

How is this smart? Throwing prime 4 into the fall, just as tons of other big names will be launching, is dumb. Launching Switch 2 with Prime 4 and Mario Kart is an excellent way to greatly help a niche franchise grow without real cannibalizing. Mario kart and metroid's audiences are 100% not the same at all.

@ It’s smart so that Mario Kart sales don’t cannibalize Prime 4. Metroid doesn’t sell a lot as it is, when it’s launched on its own. It needs some spacing, between launch and holiday. Late summer or very early Fall is perfectly acceptable timing.

@@garvensman many people don't buy just one title at launch. And they simply won't clash because a multiplayer racer is NOT the same type of game as a single player first person action adventure. You're not acknowledging this. And you're advocating for a niche franchise to, instead of launching a massively hyped console, to be thrown into the fall fire with potentially the all-threatening GTA 6 and other big hitters.

It's usually 2-3 games that everyone recognizes about Nintendo wise I would assume while 2nd and 3rd party games fill in the rest. We did see some sort of rap sheet talking about the companies that have games ready to go and it was more than 10.

@@DDKoD I never said it isn't the launch title it would still be in the launch window which is around 2-3 months so Prime 4 and Nintendo switch sports would be Month 1 and MK9 would be Month 2 This is the best case scenario because If MK9 releases before or at the same time as MP4 MK9 will overshadow tf out of it So it's best to get MP4 before MK9 to get some sales in
