What a great video - we visited from the UK back in 2017 and did just over a week in Port Douglas, Cape Tribulation and Cookstown. One of my favourite areas of Australia. The Bloomfield track had just reopened a few days before after bad flooding so it was great to be able to drive the route. We spent some time in Wudjal Wudjal and met some of the locals who showed us around. We rented the 4WD from Budget and it was great. Thanks for reminding me of a great trip. Subscribed.

When I first did it back in the late 80s it was a lot rougher and a lot longer, there's more bitumen and bridges now, so I fear one day the track will just become just another road. 👍 we rented through Hertz. The only restriction was that the car couldn't be driven on the beach. It was a KIA SPORTAGE 2.0L DIESEL. If you stick to the main rental companies it's usually ok. We used East Coast car rentals once, yeah nah, steer clear of them 😁
