Didn't use stairs nearly enough. They didn't go for the castle heart last week though, if they do that now it's gonna be bad for us, because on our server raid is usually all high levels from all teams vs 1 team.

Well you can design upper floors however you like, my only suggestion is to put at least 10-20 doors labyrinth so make people don't want to raid you if they don't have a key

You can place golems to a place that is wider than 2x1 so simply 2x2 or bigger. Pillar doesn't start breach but starts under attack and is breakable with normal weapons without golem

Well, doesn't make that much sense. You just limit the places you can play around. Door is something you can open and close as you please and attack defend whatever you want. Staircase is not beneficial for you.

You simply need to put doors everywhere without stairs and play 2 scholars. Spam death knights in front of golem's range attack and if golem is coming close, attack it directly. Scholars can safely play from the left side of the entrance, behind the rock and if golem comes close they can join from middle.

To note, I don't have any actual raid or defense experience, just trying to contribute and learn. I was was testing it out, and I think t=3521 58:40 The top left Dunley bridge doesn't stop the siege golem shockwave attack in either direction, so **if I understand how siege works** (I probably don't?) if you can put the golem on the property of the other castle, then you can start a breach at the opposing castle. Do I have that right?

Well, the base at dunley bridge, you should be able to close there off with a bridge as well. And if you do not put walls on the bridge side of the staircase and 1 tile closer, your castle should not take damage from golem's aoe that is coming from the bridge

Right now, discharge is the strongest ability in the game by far. What you can run with it is totally depends on your gamestyle. I can suggest spectral wolf, void or cyclone if you go scholar, I can suggest power surge or blood rage if you go rogue and I can suggest ice counter or crystal lance if you go warrior. But yea, discharge is must have, second spell pick it yourself

Ok I built the design of one of the castles in the video which was easy but the only part I struggled on was fitting the storage and crafting rooms on the top floor while keeping the 250 tile limit. I know u can remove tiles like you said but my question is...could someone bat form on a tile i removed or even actually open a door without breaking it down near the removed tile..I know this may be silly question but I'm new to the game.

Thank you for the info, I prefer not using stygian summoning circle since it costs a bit much and mobs being hostile towards both defenders and attackers are making problems to defenders generally. I don't like unreliable defense mechanisms but you're right it might be used to gain some extra time like banshees

What you could do is make an og base without staircases and defend it with 3 rogue-warrior + 1 scholar. Scholar should play death knight and mosquito, that shouldn't let golem to range attack and focus golem only. Other 3 can go for the fight meanwhile

You xan only get 1 free void of, enemy can simply dash out of rest of your attacks. I don't like the dark temptress that much because the projectile she shoots is way to slow in a situation that enemy know where that projectile will come. Exsanguinator might be testable but it feels too slow when you are used to it. Maybe put 1 of them instead of a cleric and test it

The reason we like to put double doors when it's possible is you have a wider spot to open and attack. Imagine you are going out from a single door, enemy can perma camp in front of the door and mosquito spam inside. But if you put a double door there, you will have more space available without bothering with opening and closing doors.

Do the creatures that you spawn with the stygian summoning circle remain until killed or despawn like the putrid rat. Also I set up vermin nests in one spot spawn mutated rats and move them to another spot and put mats for putrid rays. I have not seen it in action, but do you know if more than one putrid rat can spawn at once? Also do this with my tombs. I spawn banshees by the front door then move them all the way back to surround my castle heart and fill with more banshee mats. The timer is long but if I'm online I can usually hold ppl off a long while (duo server).

First, the creatures you summon from stygian summoning circle will stay there till someone kills it. Secondly, I don't suggest using rat boss to defend because enemy can kill it and drink blood to full their health + the boss explosion will deal damage to your own walls and break them Third, Yes you can move the tombs back of the castle and have another line of banshees but for that, you need to hold your enemy pretty damn long if it is an official server.

The problem is, these summoned creatures aren't that strong, it will take 5-10 seconds for them to die and you are using good resources for them so, I personally don't like to use it

Devs spended time to create decorative aspect and it turns out that it is literally useless because beautifull castle = ruins in first raid. I would put my coffins at 3rd floor and revive there. I don't use stygian summoning circle, I find it unnecessary in most scenarios. Rest of the castle is same with what I showed, 1x1 doors everywhere

Well, I show it in video. You summon banshees and you put them in a place that raiders have to go through. That's the main logic

I suppose 2 bombs are still broken against servants which is just stupid since they always just run towards them and die… anyways what mod are you using? @@AdrianGabrysz I actually don't know where you can find a guide for that but I can teach the start and you can roam around in the commands Open settings, you should click the: Console Enabled. After that you need to press ` key on your keyboard. If you use English Q keyboard it should be at the left of 1. You open the console and type adminauth. Rest is your work

You should go a warrior-rogue design with scholar blood in that case

So you have more spots to go around and play while others are trying to block you. Go with high damage abilities such as void + death knight. Focus the golem nomatter what Get your scholar set,blood,amulet and break the golem as fast as possible. If they don't let you to go whip e or q the golem, use crossbow q's on the golem and keep your e for i-frame

Tips for raiding you mean? If so, sure. I will make a video as soon as my laptop comes back from maintenance. What I can say about raiding in text is, you simply have to be better than your opponents because defending is easy. And you should always keep the castle under attack mode till you breach for enemy castle so they can't repair their walls. Use major explosive boxes for servants. If you are raiding solarus shard, when they use fallen angel go back. Of you are raiding adam, stick close, if winged hold one of your i frames, if dracula use a barrier or lightning curtain

Garden gates and pillars trigger castle under attack, they do not start breach. I do not suggest putting any furnitures or garden related items outside your castle so people can not keep your castle under attack

Well no actually. If the raiders are not terrible, you will get raided. What you can do is don't make a labyrinth so they don't key you and hide loot in little chests all around the castle. Walling them all

Why would you not want to have the staircase doors as well as the base setup on the first base? Arent they still just wasting time on the golem while they break down the first 2 doors on your staircase?

If you are talking about the staircase at the entrance, then I suggest you to rewatch 6:43

@@Virdult Yes, I watched that part the first time. You say it's to get the golem so it can't attack right away. But it also starts the siege timer early before they get into your base. So they waste several minutes of the time breaking a low wall that means nothing. By the time they get up into your base they already burned 2 minutes breaking lower walls? That seems like a bonus to me, am I missing something else?

@@Otyrr Yes sir, the thing you miss is how important it is to defend your castle's first wall. The reason we do protect our first wall is because when it gets broken your walls will start to take 4x more damage for 7 minutes. This is called breach mode for castle. So what you can do better is by not putting walls there but putting walls to the places you can actually defend and defend your first wall like your life is depending on it. If you can manage to defend, you can remove and re put the wall and it will be as new as it was when you built and the raiders will be back to 0. But if you put a wall down the staircase, enemy will start breach freely and even if you kill the attackers after they break your walls, they can come back within that 7 minutes of breach timer and reattack while your walls are still taking 4x more damage

If your loot room is 100 walls away from the entrance, getting your first wall broken is already %50 of the raid since the rest of the walls will be easier to break and will be breakable without golem. We at high gameplay think breach as a win in raid because if you can get breach once, you can rebreach easily with just 1 golem hit to a low health wall. Defender will be constantly under pressure while attacked is relaxed because if defender dies, their castle is getting broken in every second but if attacker dies, they have 7 minutes to come back and keep the raid ongoing

That definitely makes sense why it's so important. No one on KZbin explains that specific mechanic, so it just seems weird for someone who doesn't know that.

Loots are dropping to ground when your servants die

But let me give you a hidden tip :) Let's say you will be offline so can't defend or online but your servants set are not ready. What you can do is put loot in your servants inventory and summon your servants to very corner of your castle, put coffin to somewhere else and build walls around your servants. No one will break till very corner since there aren't any chest there and your loot will be safe ;D

Well I'm not against staircase building, that adds some deep mechanics in castle building. If you put something wrong, you can hurt yourself. But raiding should be easier in my opinion
