Cool of you to review these monitors Rob, it makes a nice companion for the minipcs you review. And also portability options

At basically $700, it better be all that and more lol. Edit: At the time of this comment...

Not suitable for Runescape lol. Would love to see something like this more suitable for gaming, but what can you do, still a very cool product, I hope this kind of thing becomes more popular. Thanks Rob :)

Hard to justify spending AUD1000 on a portable monitor but hey if you can afford that good luck to you

I can afford it, but I wouldn't be able to afford it if I kept buying overpriced things like it.

I feel like it's hard to justify for those of us who would quite like to possess such a thing. For artists or other professionals who have a use case for it, the maths is rather different.

If you don't need touch AND stylus support, you're not the target group. If you do need both, this is a VERY justifyable price. Other displays in this price class usually just have touch OR stylus support. Other monitors that have both are even more expensive.

bit pricey

Oled monitors are predestined for burn-in and a "throwaway item".

This was an interesting review for me, as I bought a 15" display for a little over $100 (about 15 months ago) that feels very much like the down-market version of this. For a little over $100 it was great and had a matte finish which I wanted. But I find myself using it very little as it's fussy to set up. This is a beautiful unit and has some very nice features: I love that you can use the touch panel to adjust the screen settings and accept that a glossy screen on this was the best choice, all things considered. What surprises me most is that I have tried to find smaller OLED panels (I use multiple 24" 16:10 IPS panels) and they seem hard to find, if you're not buying a laptop. I'm glad you decided to review this.

The LG ones are somewhere in between and might be worth looking at but definitely read some reviews.

Glossy monitors such a pain to record...

is the touch functionality available when using hdmi connecion? or can it only be operated with usbc? most graphics cards only have hdmi/displayport.

Still a bit pricey yea.

Not if you look at the price of other displays that have touch AND stylus support. Competitors to Wacom usually "only" have stylus support and Wacom is even more expensive.
@PB1up3 ай бұрын
@juschu85 displays like these use mpp 2.0 vs emr. Usually, only handling 4k pressure sensitivity while wacom offer 8k or higher.Wacom usually calibrates thier screens also.Drivers alone is worth going with wacom but then again these portable monitors aren't trying compete with wacom.

Very cool that this tech exists now but I personally wouldn't want to use a 16" 4K OLED display because I'm not interested in going blind by burning out my retina's. Cheers...

OLED screens have not impressed me on smartphones and in one laptop that I've seen. The only OLED screens that impressed me are from TVs that cost above €15000! Thank you for the review!

I just want one with a built in battery, so that means a lapdock.

Can it be used with a single usb c cable that supplies power and image to the monitor ?
