Awesome review. Clear and concise. I bought the S3 Pro and actually watching this before opening the box, as a last minute verification that I made the right choice. Lol. I like your F3 interface as well. Looks easy tonattatch/detach and comfy. I'm gonna have to try and find one of those

Hey thank you for hanging out, I appreciate the nice feedback! 🙏 The F3 Interface is great as well, I have a review for it somewhere on my channel if you're considering picking one up. Enjoy the S3 Pro! 😁

Better than Globular Cluster CMQ3? Which one fits better? Or moves less? I have this one, but I’m always adjusting. I’m looking for one more stable. Is CMQ3 a good option? Thanks

The one problem I have with the headset is that the fan only works when the battery is on the back it will not draw power from the headset itself to run the fan

Awesome Videos!! - great details and very well presented - subbed :) Suprised you chose this one over the KKCOBVR Q3 Pro since the Bobo just adds a fan while losing the in/out wheel adjusters...and more so, the Bobo is over TWICE the price!. I have the KKCOBVR Q3 Pro on backorder...think i'll stick with that one 😊❤
@ThisKoryАй бұрын
Thank you, that's super nice of you to say! Welcome aboard! There are a few reasons I would choose to recommend the S3 Pro over the Q3 Pro. First, the S3 Pro simply has a more refined design that is more user friendly. The cable being guided without having to worry about tucking it away yourself, not having to install a top strap (they can be quite annoying to install and deal with adjusting), and overall a more rounded finish with a better feel to the materials which make it feel higher quality (the rubberized dial on the back is super nice). While the S3 Pro does miss out on some adjustment compared to the nice dials that the Q3 Pro has, I think most people are not going to need or want to utilize these dials that the KKCOBVR strap has. Therefor, the sacrifice of these dials for the fan to cool you down I find to be a solid trade-off. I did not consider cost, since that is purely subjective, and if people want to pay more for a unique feature or different design because that's what they desire, then that is beyond my jurisdiction of discussion. It is something I usually try to keep out of my reviews, but you're right, the Q3 Pro is much more budget friendly for what it offers in terms of features. The S3 Pro is just a more simple design, with fewer straps to adjust, which make it easier to recommend to the average user, where the Q3 Pro is more of an enthusiast head strap or for someone who knows exactly what they want in terms of comfort, and desires a different form of adjustability with a top strap instead of the S3 Pro prongs. Both are great, don't get me wrong, I just find the S3 Pro easier to recommend with it being easier to install and adjust, and the addition of the fan. Sorry, the wall of text goes up quicker than I realize every single time 😅

@@ThisKory Hey Kory! Thank you so much for the reply!! - I sincerely do appreciate it! I see now why you say the in / out wheels are kind of Niche..once I'm in VR, I'm locked in (and of course there's tap for passthrough if needs be) 😁. I think you have talked me into the Bobo! :) - Going to take advantage of Amazon Prime and give it a whirl. Thank you again for the explaniation ❤

I just got around to ordering this strap as well. You didn't really do any battery testing. How long do you get with the extra battery?
@ThisKoryАй бұрын
3-4 hours on average I'd say, depending on the application. MR, gaming with high performance QGO profiles, and higher display brightness uses more battery, so it depends on what you're doing with the Quest.

I absolutely loved the feel and fit of the BoboVR M2 with my Quest 2 headset when I first had it, that was, until those pesky prongs starting giving me a headache, it's like you said, it's badly designed. I now steer clear of the BoboVR straps, only because of that one thing. Great video, subbed.

Got this head strap about 2 days after getting the Q3 after upgrading from the RiftS. Totally love this headstrap and so comfy. I also got a better faceplate as with the faceplate that the Q3 comes with i can see out the bottom. Don’t like the colour though :D

Great review! Does the BOBOVR S3 Pro allow you to flip up the Quest like a visor, to get it out of the way so you can see without needing to use the Quest's passthrough cameras, while still keeping the head strap on your head? I know it doesn't have the ratcheting side knobs that the KKCOBVR Q3 Pro head strap has, which apparently are part of its flip-up mechanism, but I'm hoping it can still flip up to some degree.
@ThisKory9 күн бұрын
Hey thank you for the kind words! Yes, the S3 Pro can still flip up enough so you can peek under the headset. Not as much as the KKCOBVR due to the ratcheting knobs, like you mentioned, but definitely enough to see nicely under the headset without a problem. I should have probably showcased this in the review, but I will make note and add a section for this topic in my head strap comparison video I've been working on.

@@ThisKory Thanks very much for letting me know! This is the last thing I needed to know before deciding whether the BoboVR S3 Pro was the right choice for replacing my Quest 3's terrible stretchy cloth head strap, which is really uncomfortable to wear after about an hour. I'd been considering the KKCOBVR Q3 Pro after watching your review of it, since you showed how it can flip up like a visor. I sometimes need to see things, like my computer keyboard, more clearly than the Quest's passthrough cameras are always able to do, and when people in my family want to talk with me, I'd prefer not to always face them with the Quest covering my eyes, but I'd rather keep the assembly on my head during those times.

My kid 12 years old wanted vr, so we grabbed a quest 3 and this headstrap + 2 battery packs and a battery dock. Xmas/birthday gift. All the reviews i can see are by adults and no kids wearing it. Will it fit a small head?
@ThisKoryАй бұрын
Hmm, I've always seen head straps come in one size. This head strap is not much different than any other. Although I'd say it's on the larger side though due to the wide and larger halo setup, and the S3 Pro probably has the largest head cup for the back of your head - as I demonstrated, the back cup is quite flexible so it should conform to any head shape, even though it's on the large size. There are head straps that have smaller housings and back cups, but most are designed to fit a wide variety of head sizes and shapes.

yes, my son has used mine. (just turned 13) he uses Bobo m3 on his quest 2 and we just picked up a quest 3 with this headstrap for Christmas as a upgrade and he is in VR all the time. and he sweats like crazy after a VR session so I am hoping the fan will reduce that. We also like that the batterypack can remain on the headstap and charge both the headset and the battery. It charges the headset first then the battery. I also got the MEE audio M6 VR Multiplatform in-Ear Earphones which I attacked to the S3 so that his siblings dont have to hear his games.

Can you charge the battery and the headset at the same time?
@ThisKoryАй бұрын
From my quick testing, yes, it seems you can charge both at once - kind of. I say kind of because the battery acts as a passthrough until the headset itself is fully charged. If you keep the primary USB-C connector plugged into the headset from the head strap, you can then plug in a separate USB-C cable to the battery itself when installed on the head strap, and it will charge the battery, while that same battery will charge the headset itself.
