i like how sissle being a small cat was slightly hinted upon based on how short his reach was as a ghost even in the tutoriel ray seemed surprized that sissle couldnt reach far hinting that rays reach was longer, later when you meet ghost missle sissle is surprised that dog had could reach so much further than him still believing himself to be human at that point, it seems how far a ghost can reach is determined by body size as the true yomiels ghost is revealed to have a very long reach

I gave my 2 DSXLs to my kids. They have a ton of games to play now, and they don't need WiFi to enjoy. Looking back at some of the games on there and how much game they could fit into those tiny cartridges is nothing short of magic. The three SMT games on it are still some of the best and most talked about games in the franchise. In particular, the soundtrack of Devil Survivor is some of the best music in gaming, especially Deep Night. Strange Journey is an absolute masterpiece, and I'll never part with it. The moment in the game that you realize that you're probably not getting out of the Schwartzvelt alive is just so oppressive. All these years later, it's just as good, and superior to the 3DS re-release. Thanks for the walk down memory lane. This was fun.

Hah! Finally! Not like I requested this a dozen times or so. :D I know the rules are extremely specific, and somewhat contrived, but the payoffs that the story uses later makes this a masterclass in storytelling, in my opinion. I'll never tire of the game's animation quality, either. Inspector Cabanela's swag is legendary~! And the dancing corrections officer is up there, too. And the undercover waitress, Memry. God, so many memorable characters. A series of unfortunate events! Yes. Beautiful. Ace Pet Detective! Even better. Thank you *very* much for this RECAPitation, for going into every detail and leaving nothing out. I'll rendezvous with you at the next battlefield.

I read that South Korea recently gave this game and Siphon Filter 3 a content rating for a PS4/PS5 release. Would be great to see this game in a HD remaster but can only hope. I'm guessing that is why you made this RECAP. EDIT: What systems: SF3: PS4/PS5 GT/PD: Unknown Systems

This game is honestly a masterpiece, but unfortunately due to how story heavy it is, the gameplay is too reliant on the story, and since they didn't make the game have multiple branches to the story where each had its own ending, there is literally no replay value whatsoever for the game, like no matter how good the story is, once you see it there is no way to get a different gameplay experience on subsequent playthroughs, which is why it was basically a financial failure for Capcom, since when it came out for the Nintendo DS the full retail price was $40, and not only had people basically ignored most major game releases for that year, but in the same month that Ghost Trick had come out, the best selling version of the iPhone had also come out, so people were too busy using all the apps and stuff that had come out for that device, and while Capcom did eventually make an iOS version for Ghost Trick, it was unfortunately too late and people had stopped buying apps in the Appstore, and because they didn't make a version for Android they lost a lot of possible sales there. My first experience with Ghost Trick had been through the iOS version, which I had bought and played on my iPad which had been an amazing experience and very cheap too because it had only been about $10-15 I can't remember, so I was very surprised when Capcom re-released the game again for modern consoles but I was immediately disappointed when they made the price $30, because the new version is just basically the iOS version but now with gamepad support and stuff, they didn't add anything new or noteworthy to justify that $30 price tag, which is why a lot of people still haven't played the game, and even on the official eshops they haven't put in on a good sale yet, my friends and I were only lucky that we found an amazing summer games Capcom bundle, that had like 12-13 of their games at around $30 which also included Ghost trick, and that is how my friends learned of the game. I wish that an indie game developer made like a spiritual successor to Ghost Trick, kind of like how One Step from Eden is an indie game that was inspired by the Mega Man Battle Network series, and the game was fairly successful due to how much more difficult it was from the Battle Network games, as well as that it had rogue like elements so it means that no playthrough would ever be the same, and with the steam workshop mod support you can even add Battle Network stuff to it as fans have uploaded it. If such an indie game gets made though, what I would like to see are different story branching paths, that ultimately determine a different ending depending on how you played and what you did and such, so that if you replay the game you can encounter different outcomes, which would add replay value and maybe even a challenge mode that had puzzles and stuff that were not story driven to add even more replay ability.
