This is hands down the best story I've heard in games in years. It pays tribute to the original movies, the characters, and the setting. It's no surprise they were able to get so many people back to reprise their roles. Fun fact: the OCP building is actually Dallas City Hall. This was a great video. Your enthusiasm showed through and it was obvious you loved this game. A fitting tribute to the least violent man in Detroit. Good work!!!

@@OniBlackMage Teyon has made a Rambo game, the BEST Terminator game, and now the best Robocop game. They get it. I'm not the only one begging them to do a Judge Dredd game next...

@@100ServingsDredd would be SO awesome. I have not seen a game take a license, make a really good game out of it, and do so with such lore-friendly worldbuilding it could be the next movie on its own since 2009's Ghostbusters the Videogame

It's the true RoboCop 3, it's such a fun game with a good RoboCop story and a fun single player campaign

I cannot recommend 1 and 2 enough. 3 is just straight bad but I'd consider the game the proper 3rd sequel.

I rewatched the whole trilogy after playing this game before making this recap, and to me: 1 is a fantastic movie that holds up, 2 is not that good but has some good scenes, and 3 has good ideas but bad executions (yet is better than a lot of current cinema, relatively speaking)

Sounds like it didn't have the best sales numbers, but looks like a pretty solid entry for RoboCop fans. Edit: Also love the very movie accurate vocabulary for the recap

Keep in mind, it came out just a few weeks ago. Usually when I recap something, it's a year later. Also, 500k is very good for a small studio game.... ppl forget less than 1% of games sell.over 1M, it's extremely rare

I'm surprised how well they expanded the story without creating plotholes. Sad that 3 is still canon. Wish they could make a sequel and take liberties with that part of the movies.

Me too! I like how they very cleanly explained how the Old Man died, why OCP went bankrupt, and what resulted from the RoboCop 2 project, while making it all relevant, interesting, and tied into the game naturally. Clean and lore friendly

@@BlackStormGachaTwinsSome reaction channels just play an entire video with minimal cuts, voiceover or transformative audio or visual editing. At that level YT does not consider it Fair Use and flags it for plagiarism with a content claim/strike. I don't know where that exact line is, but I do agree with that limit

@@OniBlackMage yeah I can edit the audio and I'll cut the vid when wanting to say stuff then resume it after that although sadly idk how to download YT vids so I'd have to use a screen recording app which also records audio around my phone which is stupid
