This was my first Tales game and it was OUTSTANDING! Closely followed, if not tied, with Xillia 2.

The best part of Xillia for me was probably the revelation of there being another world. That was a pleasant surprise, a nod to Tales of Eternia and Symphonia. But what followed after that was disappointments, when the game tells you there's only one town and you're only allowed to go to very limited places in Elympios. :/

Really happy to watch this video lol years ago when i was playing this i dropped it soon after the fight with Muzet thinking that everyone actually had died lol I've never been more hurt by a game than the leading moments before seeing Jude become a husk of what he used to be and Alvin supposedly killing him and Leia (played Jude's story so I didn't know Milla survived and lost the solo fight against alvin so i got the bad cutscene). This video made my night *sob*

This was a very long game. Completing everything in Judes Story, even the tournaments did not bother me. This was also my first Tales Game. Now after four years I should complete Millas story and get the Platinium. So would you do one for Beseria?

I know i was a kid when i played this game but damn! I didn’t remember a thing about it aside from the main cast and specific points (mainly the initial area, the dungeon where you rescue the girls with rowans help and the part where everyone splits up in the finale)

I like Xillia, although the plot, like Symphonia, is unnecessarily convoluted at some points. Simple is beautiful... some stories become classic when you have key elements working together, not when you have too many details and side plots making the story unnecessarily "heavy".

Firionel Since it seems like no one has taken the time to reply to you, all I can say is choose the one that looks the most appealing to you. For me, my first introduction to the Tales series was Tales of Symphonia for the GameCube when I was ten years old. The next game I played was Tales of the Abyss for the PS2, after that was Tales of Graces F for the PS3. So on and so forth, I’ve kept up with the main titles thus far, except I have yet to finish Vesperia and Berseria (the latest main release). A lot of people say that the latest entries are the best ones to start out with. There’s probably many reasons for this. But if you own a Switch or PS4, Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition released not too long ago. Also Tales of Symphonia Chronicles, which contains an updated HD version of Symphonia and Symphonia ll: Dawn of the New World, is out for the PS3. So there’s a few options. I’ve enjoyed all of the Tales games for the most part, except probably Dawn of the New World, but it’s mainly my own gripes with the game and not the game itself. Hope this helps you, even if just a little bit.

Why didn't Muzet kill them originally how did they get away? Strange how she conveniently sees Jude to tell him about Milla, but then everyone is just magically alive and magically meets back up. Or am I misunderstanding something?

I have only played 4 Tales games (Parts of Graces, Vesperia, Zestiria and Xillia), I think Xillia has the best mix. Vesperia has a better main character and arguably better story. Zesteria has the best world and dungeon design. I didn't like Graces too much. Hopefully they'll take the best parts of these games into account for Tales of Berseria.
