How do the 328be compare to the Salons ?

Closer than you might think. Although, they aren't much cheaper, either. IMO the Salons are a bit more refined though, but they both have a big presentation with lots of bass extension and impact. The Salons like a little more power on tap to get the best out of them. The Ultima series is definitely more expensive to produce with construction that's up a few notches. The Be series gives you close to that sound, in a cheaper cabinet, with aluminum drivers and more typical ferrite motors. Both get the Be tweeters.
