Yes, spraying the chest allows you to smell it for longer yourself, while the neck our nose gets used to it faster. That's why I usually spray twice on the chest for myself and once at the back of my neck. If I want more attention, which is unusual, I also go for two sprays on the side of the neck.

For a long time I only made 3 sprays because I did not want to offend anyone with my scent - no compliments, no one even noticed that I was wearing something, but after I saw a pretty girl with curly blonde hair calling me sissy sprayer I said ok, enough POWER KRAFT VERSACE ERHOOS and my daily routine was at least 6 sprays (even with strong and sweet fragrances) - no one was offended and I got a lot of compliments not only from my friends but also from strangers. If you want to be noticed you have to spray more (if it is a weak fresh scent you can easily go 10 sprays and more) and by this almost every fragrance you know will not only project but also last a lot longer. Of course it really depends on the situation- if you are watching a movie with your girlfriend you really don't want to go heavy, just 2-3 sprays and it will be ok but if you are going out with friends make the atomizer red-hot ;)

I have to agree with at least 6 sprays for most cases if you want to pull compliments. I do have to disagree with Curly on the 30+ sprays. At that point you'd be draining your colognes fast and would likely have the same effect at maybe 10 sprays.

Good advice, skin type and weather also come into play. I have dry skin and live in the Southern California desert. I have to spray everything everywhere, even my clothes. The air is so starved for any moisture that it evaporates your perspiration so fast you don’t even know you are sweating. In the summer it is 110-120 everyday.

You have to know your fragances, as simple as it is. With some i do 15 to 20 sprays and with others i do 2 to 4, and depending of the occasion. Dont be afraid of finding the limits of your fragances, remember that they normally smell amazing, in the worst case if you overapply a lot that day you are going to smell amazing from distance, no big deal

I have 2 routines. If I'm wearing short sleeves, I do a spray in the crook of each elbow, one or two on the back of my neck, and one on my chest. If i'm wearing long sleeves, i spray once on each side of my shirt collar, 1-2 on the back of my neck, and one on my chest.

My typical fragrance routine in most situations is 5 to 6 sprays. One behind each ear, one on the back of my neck and one on each side of my shirt (on the shoulder area). That way it leaves a nice scent trail as I walk by. At times I'll spray a 6th spray on the middle of my shirt but that's typically when I'm wearing a lighter/fresher scent. Personally I only spray colognes on the back of my shirt and back of neck and behind my ears depending on how strong the fragrance is. The more strong smelling colognes I only spray on my shirts usually on the back upper deltoid area and just below my neck. I don’t know about y’all but some of these colognes are to strong and I don’t want to be smelling it all day or go nose blind. Even though I spray on the back side of my body I can still smell them and it’s not to cloying. The cherry on top is massive sillage especially when the wind blows.😎

You are definitely correct on the back of the ears. Especially if a bit of petroleum jelly is applied beforehand your fragrance will easily last all day.

First off, great choice for your scent of the day👌🏽 In my opinion Profumo will forever remain a timeless fragrance💪🏼 now back the main topic, I always try to not over spray because like it or not, wearing too much Cologne is just as bad as smelling like BO. So I typically go with 3-6 sprays depending on the fragrance. I do 3-5 sprays on the neck typically behind my ears or directly on the back of my neck but never the front because I don’t want to choke myself out. And depending on the fragrance I might spray my shirt once or twice max for better longevity 👍🏽

I go 7 sprays with a strong Fragrance and 14 sprays for weak fragrance. Application locations. left , right front of the neck (2) back of the neck (1) left , right inner elbows ( or on clothes if its a long sleeve ) (2) left and right chest ( on clothes if your chest is covered especially in winter ) (2) 7 sprays total , X2 if its a weak fragrance, so 14 sprays total for a weak fragrance. More sprays = wasting money just like I did in the beginning from this hobby, if its a very very weak fragrance you can sprays 50 times and still wear off. Cherry pick fragrance when it comes to collecting, don't go with the hype just like I did, I felt disappointed after buying 1 million EDT 2021 batch which is super weak and ultra male is also weak and watered down.

While I understand that residing at a place that's predominantly cold, you'd only require a few sprays, which begs the question, "What would you do with all the backup bottles given that you'll be finishing only 100 ml in 4 months assuming you wear a couple of fragrances a day".
