I’m a born and bred New Yorker, settled down in the Seattle outskirts couple years ago. Anyway, 2 tips! I recommend renting a small storage unit for your seasonal and extra stuff so you can live in peace in the tight apt 😅 also when 1 comes thing in, another thing must go out, was a good rule of thumb for purchasing decisions for closet and home stuff. Other tip is to habitually (even if weekly) clean the soot off your windows. It’s all the NYC filth seeping in! 🚕

When you don't have a lot of storage, look up at the walls! Put cupboards or shelves on the walls or get armoires.armoire. Also they have beds with storage underneath. They are on hydraulic hinges so you can lift the bed easily.

Don't know if you've already given the monstera away, but she can be saved! Snip off the strongest leaf at the node and propagate it in some water. After a few weeks, there will be new roots and basically a new baby plant that will be a lot easier to take care of!
