i am a big silly billy and forgot to mention that changing your field of view to the maxiumum setting can assist you in seeing jumps, obstacles, checkpoints etc easier!! it also makes you look like you're going much faster than you are which is funny i think.. EDIT: guess who just realised something like a week late.. ME !! anyways while you do mostly have freedom for racing character outfits the “GREEN STRIPED TOP” from jarlaheim has an additional jump stat compared to all other tops - so if you use that your jump boosts may be slightly better !! apart from that hiccup i hope you enjoyed and thanks again for ur support!

I used to be a regular leaderboard placer in like 2016-2017 and the game has updated so much that I can't rely on quarter horses and shortcuts from before the races were updated anymore so this helps a lot thanks! Also it's weird how they updated terrain speed boosts the mechanics are slightly different now

underrated! and one good thing I can say is.. This is very specfic but,its great to just sit and play a second game,read,write or whatever while this plays. It's nice,the music is neat,and you don't get blasted randomly,and you get information for your favorite game while your at it!

Hi! loved your video! I can't remember the youtuber but I had heard all about the tack and such a long time ago in another video. I thought I would mention there is an alternative to the Moorland Saddle (which costs 139 star coins). There are 3 saddles with the same speed 3 and discipline 2 but they have 1 agility instead of 1 speed. The Durable Saddle is the cheapest of the three. It is a pretty decent alternative if you really can't spend the star coins. I also noticed there is supposedly a western saddle version of the Moorland saddle that is only 129 star coins and can be found in Fort Pinta with the same stats (and there is also a western dark and matte bridle if you want!). It's a shame the default stats for saddles nowadays don't have the discipline stat. But at least SSO has given us a lot more top stat clothing options. Back in the days I first heard about this tack, getting the right clothing as well was way more limited!

Although regarding racing clothes, isn't the black and green striped top the best top in the game? I think that's worth mentioning as well. Hey! How did you get your discipline stat to 28? Mine only reaches 26 with full recommended gear and maxed lvl percheron horse. Same goes for agility and swiftness... I noticed you have 4 different numbers on the stats while i only have 3.

coming from a massive racer, the morgans are best to use currently as of the turning update on horses, percherons are still good but morgans are best due to the turning update and i'd highly recommend riding a morgan for champ.

Some of the tips in this clip seem to border on cheating in my opinion. I do not agree we should allow reset or external 'tricks' to gain advantage. I have never used any of these techniques and now feel proud that I can top leaderboards and win Champs 'honestly', although ironically, I have been accused of cheating by some who are clearly using these very techniques

Yeah, I just thought the same! It's also totally not up to the horse you're riding. I'm riding Champs frequently at the moment to level up my horses and I can honestly say that you are able to win or at least get into top 3 with any horse above level 10 when you actually have a clean ride without bumping into anything that sends you off-track.

all the horses i mentioned here are the best in the game at the moment - so the gen 3 fjord won’t be the best but it’s certainly not bad !! all horses are technically the same speed so you can win on anything :)) these ones are just slightly faster because of animation quirks :p

the gen 1 fri doesn’t have any speed advantages at the moment, so ur better off with a fjord, percheron or morgan - but u can do champs/race on any horse and win if u know ur shortcuts and boost techniques !! 💗

that just depends on what u wanna focus on. the tack set i show has the max swiftness, discipline and strength. disc is important as it means u transition into gaits faster and strength is important as that determine how far and fast u jump. the jump is important because it determines how good your boosts are. while agility is important for turning corners, u can mostly get the same effect just by perfecting turning ur corners tightly and knowing ur shortcuts. therefore, personally i’d 100% prioritise strength and discipline over agility - so that’s why i recommend that tack :)

yep! the tack set i show has the best stats as it has maximum swiftness (which means you move faster) and strength (which means you jump faster/further). for the character, you can use anything as long as it has maximum riding stats (+8 for tops, +4 for gloves, +5 for pants and +4 for boots). if you want the absolute best top you should use the “green striped top” as it has an additional jump stat. you also have to make sure your gloves and boots have +4 command. more command stats means your horse transitions from one gait to the next quicker, so you can take advantage of the walk to slow gallop start if you have high command :)

@@emmaaas i can understand where ur coming from, but tbf it’s just a feature of the game. it’s not as though only some people have access to that strategy - anyone can do it. while it is technically an exploit, until sso fix it then it’s fair game just like the differences in horse breeds. not that it matters at this point because it’s impossible to get on the scoreboard even with jump starting thanks to all the cheat engine users loool

Yeah, no. The Jumpstart is definitley cheating in my eyes and I can honestly say that I do win championships with any horse that has at least level 10 and good riding gear when racing clean without bumping into anything on the sides. Has nothing to do with these horses, this outfit or anything else.
