We use it on the lakes here in Australia. We call it an orange beadhead Magoo. 👍

In Finland, this pattern as pink, black or orange is absolutely the most used and known as very effective pattern for rainbow trout. Orange for recently stacked fish. Black as all arounder and pink (or white) for old fish and cold waters.

I want to start tying some flies but it seems quite a mine field. Should I get a starter kit or should I buy a vice and tool set and then the individual materials that I need as I want just to start with tie some lures , buzzers and stalking bugs your advice would be much appreciated

I would say get the best vice you can afford, quality hooks, and start building materials as you go along. Start with most commonly used patterns and materials. With Black thread and wire for example you can also tie a basic buzzer etc. Start with your blacks, olives and brown themes
