Hello Sir, I loved this video really. Easy editing, with its animation. Step by step sandwich. Thank you very much. Just for my jig for fishing 20 grams seems good to start?
@thefishingfoodie7 ай бұрын
Thank you very much!!🙏 Yes 20 grams works fine. That’ll definitely be enough weight to throw a good distance.

Thanks, I appreciate it! 🙏 Yeah you’re right, I just looked it up and they definitely look like Redfish!

Those are some nice YF croakers. Other good fighters are corbina and my favorite surf species for the fight, spotfin croaker. My personal best is a 24.5 inch spotfin on a sand crab.

I agree completely! Nice job on the 24.5” Spotfin, that’s a beast!

Where do you get those assist hook setups from. Delicious looking fish sandwich
@thefishingfoodie7 ай бұрын
Thanks! Yeah, I got the assist hooks on Amazon. The particular hooks I use are about 1" long.

What size assist hooks are you using on the kastmaster? I mostly throw 1/2 and 3/4 oz
@thefishingfoodie4 ай бұрын
I use size 12# which is about 1.3” in length. That should work fine if you’re throwing 3/4 oz. Maybe go a little smaller for the 1/2 oz Kastmaster.

How do you got about finding spots?
@thefishingfoodie4 ай бұрын
I just basically do it the old fashioned way which is go to different beaches again and again to find which spots produce the best.

Super awesome catches! I’ve been surf fishing here in socal for about few years now and have gone through hundreds of surf perch. Butttt i’m still trying to catch my first yellowfin croaker! I’ve always casted within the first breaker though. Should i throw on some heavier weights and bomb bait out?
@thefishingfoodie6 ай бұрын
Hey thanks! Yeah, it might be worth throwing a 1 oz jig out there a little further. That’s where I’ve found a lot of success with these yellowfin croakers. Good luck!

Great video- What size Kastmaster were you using 3/4 or 1 oz? Do you have links for the lure and the assist hooks? Thx. want to give it a try
@thefishingfoodie7 ай бұрын
Thanks! I use the 1. You can actually just look up Kastmaster on Amazon, which is where I bought them. Same thing with the Assist Hooks. For these hooks, get the smaller options. The hooks I have are about 1 inch in length.
@drierdan7 ай бұрын
Sorry. The entire string and hook is one inch? Do you know the hook size? Thx again

Here’s the link to the item on Amazon. However it looks like this particular one is unavailable but you can probably find others just like it. Good luck! VIPMOON 20 Pcs Fishing Assist www.amazon.com/dp/B08N4VC12C?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Those fillets look like they would be good for fish tacos.

Definitely, I actually did a video for fish tacos using Yellowinfin Croaker. It's the video that has the Kastmaster and the Tacos in the thumbnail image!
