Back when I was in the USMC and living in CA, the SPAS-12 was available, and I thought to put the purchase off because it was such a neat shotgun, they will never stop selling them. I have done that several times in the past and regret it every time, but with the way things look politically these days, I'm replacing my 870 and getting one of these ASAP!

Seems like an ingenious design, the reload on tube switch is definitely breath taking, alongside the semi-auto nature, means it takes least effort to put the maximum amount of lead into the range without a bulky magazine. 10/10

My DP -12 is super reliable with any shells, including half size. and well made of a single block of metal. It is a pump, but it's a double barrel pump. I am still getting this TS-12 because I am a huge IWI fan. but show some respect for Standard Arms of Connecticut. They are well beyond Coco Beach quality. and definitely on par with most high end shottys out there.

Love this gun. The lifter design is like many semi-autos... you can ghost-load the lifter for 14 rounds of 3", 17" rounds of 2.75", and it WILL run and cycle Noble Sport 2.25" mini buckshot shells.. giving you 20 rounds total (3x6 +1+1). Don't use the smaller minishells though. The Benelli/Beretta Mobile choke tube threading is super useful as well. Any smooth bore choke size you want, or even a rifled choke tube for slugs, or even 4" to 9" barrel tube extensions can thread in there if you want a longer tube for a bit more velocity (good for softer loaded trap/skeet birdshot shells). All my AR optics and accessories bolt right on.

@SCP 096 nice street sweeper , yet I prefer that black ace tactical 12gage firearm because of how easy it is to change different types of shells in mags or force feed different shells in between mags circle. But still AA12 defently is a punisher , but I perfur changing shells(slum,dragon breath, or beanbag baby explosive shell during a cycle of a clip .

@SCP 096 no not really it takes 2 seconds to feed a shell , average time to change the clip or mag like a ar 15 mag , and there is a 3 shell tube all ways full of what ever shell you need for main operation but I will say the aa12 dose have the black ace tactical beat on superior 10 seconds of ravaging power becouse the black ace , has a pumped receiver , check it out it's in one of my EDC video list. It really a small procigan power house for it size of 18inches or 16inch running 10 or 5 shell clips . With 3 in its tub ready when changing mag or door breeches.

@SCP 096 you did not read my whole statement , I sead the aa12 had 10 seconds of ravaging power. The black ace is for small coders, at a length of 16inch and is pump action not gas or automatic . But is vary versatile with fast clip changes and 3 adornment shell that can be fired as you change the clip or shell preference. It literally smaller then the size of a small man's forearm. Closer to 14inch then 16inches.

@SCP 096 now the real rebudle starts yes that my reson why the black ace tactical is the better weapon of choose , it not as fast of a shooter as the AA-12 , but it make up in its capabilities the tube can have 3 explosive shells that would clear space as much as 1/2 of the cylinder firing rate of the AA-12 all way ready and have 4 ouat or 12 gage slugs , drop the clip ,shot a explosive shell as placing a 12gage buck shot clip of eather 5 or 10 round mag , . The plat form it self is as big a a new born baby , it that small . And is considered a firearm not a gun or rifle, it approved for all county's in the United states and citys as a fire arm . Not a rifle or handgun which have restrictions in most every city but not in county rouelle areas . Yet the drum of the AA12 wait is as much as the black ace, with the black ace tube full. But if you was to point the AA12 at me in a open area I would be praying to christ jesus yashowa to take me home in heaven. As I try running around like chicken with its head cut off .

My whole opinion on this weapon changed after going through a few days at Thunder Ranch. In a group comprised of Beretta's, Benelli's, Remington's, and Mossberg's (in that order) there was one guy who had an IWI Tavor. At first, I felt sorry for him because I didn't think he'd be able to keep up. I was dead wrong. He was as fast if not faster loading, and he hit a man-sized silhouette at 200 yards like the rest of us with conventional shotguns. As soon as my state allows, I'm buying one. I like that it's compact and you can't beat the round capacity.

I have received my TS12 last week. I wanted to change it to left hand and was told I needed to return it to IWI to make the change. Fair enough I called IWI and was given Chris in the support department. I told him want I wanted and he told me that there is no bolt for left handed operation and that he was unaware of any work being done. So as of now only right hand guns are available. Hope this helps

@@m.s.5313 IWI sells left and right hand models now (has for past 3 years). IWI America will convert it for you if you send it in. The bolt is changed, the cross bolt safety is flipped for you, and the ejection port cover is moved from the left side to the right side. Everything else is already ambi.

MSRP is $400 less than the M4, which gives me room to get a proper optic for it, and just the standard shell capacity would be a huge upgrade (8 vs 15). Why doesn’t anyone bring up the SRM Arms 1216 when talking about this thing. They’ve had the whole revolving mag tube thing since 2011. The 1216 also had a removable magazine and an extra round of capacity because it is 4x4 instead of 3x5.

It looks like a very well-made weapon, an improvement that I think would make it even better, would be to have a fixed handle under the exit and a mechanism like that of the sliding shotguns to rotate the triple drum, so that you could Spin the drum quickly and accurately. Under the exit? Do you mean the muzzle? or the ejection port? or the loading gate? I'll say, I've rigged up a front grip bolted to the MLOK slots and while comfortable to shoot, and reduces the recoil to the shoulder a bit, it's awkward to go between holding the front handle and then repositioning your hand to rotate the tubes. The better, and lighter, option is to grip the front of the mag tube pivot arm (directly below the muzzle/barrel nut) to pull the gun into your shoulder, then when you need a tube, rotate the tubes clockwise (for righties) by closing your bottom 3 fingers in a flicking motion to pull the outside bottom tube to the inside bottom position).

Looks pretty awesome. Manually rotating the magazine around looks kind of slow and clumsy though. Seems more intuitive to incorporate a pump handle that rotates the magazine on empty. Fire five shots, pump, five more.

Pretty sweet. If I'd have known how fast they are to load I would have bought this instead of Panzer BP12 Gen 2 Bullpup. Maybe not, they both are kick ass for home protection. I wouldn't want to be on the wrong end of either of them.

Excellent video, particularly because I just picked up my TS12. When not outside the house, I'll be using it for home defense, and I've added a double 18650 battery flashlight for extended night time use (and dual lasers as well). With all that capacity, has anyone come up with a coherent configuration of the TS12's 16 shell capacity using different types of 12 ga. shells, like 00 buck, #1 buck, slugs and slugs with 00 buck (and in high or low power), etc.?

Not off hand, but that's a good idea. A simple chart with known loads that cycle well in that gas setting seems appropriate info for a you-tube video :) I know that Federal anything is pretty much good to go, even the lighter bird shots as long as they're 1100+pfs. Even 7/8oz. Also, Noble Sport 2.25" minibuck shells fit 6 per tube (20 total) and fire and cycle perfect. They use six 00-buck lead shot pellets and travel 1250-1300fps. If you can find 2.5" buck shot or slugs, those should do the same as well (though most any 2.5" shells outside Canada and UK seem to be just weak low mass, low speed bird shot for old shotguns with weak barrels/metal. Smaller minishells will fire fine, but don't extract even on Low pressure setting (the compromise you make to have a bolt capable of 3" magnum slug loads I suppose).

I was unaware of Nobel Sport's 2.25 loads, which sound like a perfect load for the TS12 (if they in fact cycle), but ammoseek doesn't show a single shell available anywhere.@@1977TheHammer

@@rockerdude8000 Tavor TS 12 is not a lightweight ! Like the Benelli M4 it was designed for the military but they brought it to the consumer market. 20,000 rounds thru it for reliability ? I read the M4 was 25,000 rounds. Thing is the Polymer parts ... obviously held up in their testing. THAT Polymer question needed to be asked.
