Nicely done, Andrew! I may have to get me one of those when I add a 3rd function and a grapple to my Kioti. I won't need to take off a rear tire to add the 3rd function on my tractor, but I will need to if I want to add a 2nd rear remote. Seeing you take off the filled rear tire in your 3rd function video is giving me some confidence about being able to do the same. I'll probably have my son (he is 27 and built like a football player) give me a hand with it. Take care and God Bless.

You need to add one of those giant 5-10 gallon water coolers to the ballast box, on the side with the tool tubes, since the chainsaw holder is on the other side. Add an L bracket to the box that the cooler sits on and have it attached by 2 L eyelet brackets to the side such that a ratchet like strap can wrap around the water container.

@TKCL
@TKCL Жыл бұрын

@ShaneZettelmier
@ShaneZettelmier Жыл бұрын
That’s pretty cool, plus it’s a metal box. You can just weld two even size metal boxes under the side of it and had more weight in the future if you want or you could weld them on and leave them empty and if they’re sealed on top you can fill it with water and just put a drain plug on the bottom so you don’t always have to have all the weight on. then you can have it be 500 pounds or 800 pounds. Waters about 8 1/2 pounds per gallon, I think it’s 8.6, so if you put 11 or 12 gallon size boxes on the side which would be about 12 x 12 x 20 I believe then you could just fill them with water or not fill them with water to add or remove A 2 or 3 hundred lbs whenever you want. You could also weld a tab underneath, so you can keep the ballast on and still be able to hook up something you wanna drag like a drag harrow. It definitely would’ve been cool to put some PVC into the concrete for a couple more holes or even stuck a 1x5” board down in there do you have put the chainsaw blade down into it to keep it centered, and a little more protected. (Excalibur😅). But you’ve got a big metal box and you can weld just about anything onto it. You could just take a few pieces of tube and make a rack and weld that right to the side and put a bunch of stuff in there. Maybe some bungee attachment points so you could strap your weedeater or whatever on there too. Pretty cool

I have an idea, consider those 2 tubes as a mounting point sorta. you could mount any number of different racks, tool boxes, extra weight if needed, anything. you said you wish you had an additional tube for tools. what if you made a rack, and the rack had 2 tubes that slid into those tubes as the mounting system. but the rack could have as many tool tubes as tall as you wanted on em. Nice thing would be the rack could be removed any time you didnt want/need it on there just by sliding it up.

I fell in a hole a while back that really Jarred the tractor around. It knocked me out of the seat and my drink out of the cup holder. @andyj256
@andyj256 Жыл бұрын
Yes still have to hook up the top link, but once you get used to them, they make things much easier, even with the fender back up on the 4066 it is faster and easier. And what I like about them most is I feel they are more versatile than a standard quick hitch on various implements. They work on all of my implements, and it’s many of them. Just leave a washer and pin on each implement. Also several of my heavy implements attach with a straight bar on each side in place of pins (stronger b/c supported on each side vs pin only one side). Just back up, lift and click the arms in place, hook up top link and go. I think you’d like them once got used to them. Plus some possible commission I’d think.
@wildbill23c
@wildbill23c Жыл бұрын
@@TKCL Yep...that's why I got a regular quick hitch. The only thing with a quick hitch is you still have to get off and hookup the PTO shaft, but that's much easier than trying to get pins aligned with holes on the hitch arms. Since I have a sub-compact tractor I don't even need to get off the tractor with the quick hitch to hookup non-PTO implements...I can reach the locking levers on the quick hitch from the seat. Those Pats quick hitch things are pretty pointless as you still have to fiddle with the top link. Kubota did come out with a new PTO Quick Hitch recently, haven't seen one in action yet, but its a full on quick hitch with a quick connect PTO as well...I'm curious as to how the heck that's supposed to work on the implement side LOL.
