I actually have Prime and Primal and I actually think their armors got swapped at some point while they were designing these things. G1 Optimus Prime was rebuilt into an alligator for one episode of the Sunbow cartoon and I feel like Skullcruncher is meant to be a reference to that because otherwise it's a rather random out of no where partner to give to Primal. Lionblade on the other hand is clearly referencing Lio Convoy who Primal actually met and teamed with the Japanese Beast Wars movie so it makes way more sense to pair Primal with the lion and Prime with the alligator. Not only are there old references that make more sense if you swap their armors around but the armors literally fit the molds better if you swap them. Prime in the lion armor doesn't have enough clearance to be able to move his shoulders so his arms get locked in place when you put the lion on him. There's no such clearance issues in the alligator armor. For Primal the way the product photos show the alligator head attached to his arm doesn't actually fit on his arm. You have to turn it around and attach it backwards from the way they want it facing. If you put the Alligator armor on Prime however it fits exactly how it's actually intended to. Admittedly some photos do show Skullcruncher's head facing the opposite direction anyway so I guess you could attach it any way you wanted to. The bigger issue though is the shoulder clearance issue in the lion armor. Primal wears it fine with no issues but Prime really can't move his arms with the lion on and has no clearance with the alligator. Also I feel like Bumblebee's needs a repaint because if they don't paint that armor as Cheetor to combine with Bumblebee, that's a missed opportunity.
