The Ultimate Van Tour - our E350 4x4 Sportsmobile/Wasatch Overland Mashup

Our 5th van is a remodeled 2013 Sportsmobile 4x4 conversion with a freshly redone interior by Wasatch Overland. After 5 vans and years of camping we found our van nirvana in this build. Check out my van tour after we pick the van in Salt Lake City!

Cuddy composting toilet: ‪@CompoCloset‬ compocloset.com/ (not sure we would recommend this toilet, still trying to see if we can get it to work well, right now there the interior gets so much condensation that it won't compost correctly, in our last van we had a Nature's Head that worked perfectly, but it was larger. This toilet is not designed to vent outside the van, which seems to be an important part of why the Nature's Heat works so well. We're trying to modify it as the design and scale of it is really nice.)

Finally found someone with a similar design to what I have in my head for our next project! Absolutely love it! They did a great job on the van and I’ll be contacting them to see about getting that aluminum bed frame for the van I’m flying out to get this week.

Love the upholstery, that turned out amazing. We have a 2001 E350 Sportsmobile with the 7.3 and RB50 layout. We cram two adults and 3 kids in it, for now. 😆 Love it but the interior needs an overhaul soon, thanks for the inspiration. 👍

That's impressive to fit 5! The RB 50 layout is the best for sleeping more than 2 I think. We used to have a Eurovan years ago, smaller, but the same concept for the layout, it's a good one . 22 years is good lifespan for a SMB interior. The ones we've had before were well built, but some of the materials just don't age well ; (

@@catherine_bailey thankfully two of them can sleep sideways in the penthouse top so that’s the magic to make it work. We are going to have to get creative soon though. The materials they used were pretty terrible then for cabinets so it’s definitely looking a little rough around the edges.

Great van tour. You made no mention of the driver and passenger seats. Not original Ford are they? Look like Stromberg seats?

Ah...the seats! Good catch, this video got too long, so I chopped out a lot. The seats are Scheel-man seats, and they are a game changer, I like them better than the seats in my Volvo which I thought could not be beat. We put them in a few months before we got the interior done, so we've spent some miles in them and while they the price seems insane for seats when we purchased them they make a huge difference.
