Upgrading A Volkswagen Transporter T6 With A Wide Range of Silent Coat Products To Fully Sound Deaden This Van!
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT - This is a Long Video For Those That Want To Know What We Did And Where!
Ok so in our latest offering into the world of VW Transporter T6 Upgrades we had a customer who wanted to Fully Deaden the front interior cab to make it as quiet and enjoyable as possible whilst driving so it sounded and felt more like a car!!
A real fun upgrade for us here and something a bit different from the usual electronics and retrofits that we offer.
As mentioned we use a consortium of Silent Coat Products that included:
✓ Silent Coat 2mm Mat
✓ Silent Coat Extra 4mm Mat
✓ Silent Coat Noise Isolator 6mm
✓ Silent Coat Absorber 15mm
In the video itself we go over the product used, where we have applied and why as well as giving you a full run down right at the end!

That was the plan but unfortunately the weather was very poor and as such the Sound Meter would have picked up on all the rain rather than road noise. We have the kit for next time round however!

I can imagine the difference would be significant however the weight of all the heavy silentcoat must be huge. It must be at least 50kg+ I suspect.

I have sound deadens most panels in my t6 but not got round to the outer arches or floors. I would defo do the doors roof and larger panels tho as they are horrendous for noise

This van was booked in for 2.5 days with 2 engineers working on it. Quite a time consuming job!

I really like your videos . Can I ask a question please? I have T5 2005 Multivan with many problems. I bought a written off T6 2019 Multivan. I am thinking to remove all the T6 parts and put them on my T5 shell . What's your advice and will it work Amin from Australia
