Hi, This is Ervin from Team Jen, To archive an email from a secondary Gmail tab, you must manually remove the star or label filtering it into that tab. Archiving from the primary inbox does not remove emails from customized tabs. I hope this helps!

Do you and your team also organize emails by label (for example, all email for a project or client all get the same label) or do you just archive everything?

Some things get labeled. Most things get archived .

Thanks Jen, I LOVE THIS! I have been using Mac Mail on my laptop and my iPhone, so I'm super intimidated about switching to Google email. Do you know what's involved in a transition like that?

I'm not familiar with Mac Mail but I bet you could do something similar. Also you can have your Mac Mail automatically forward to Gmail.
