Like I thought would happen spear not being able to stab through people ruined it. Which I think is a good thing it's been meta for way too long.

Don't forget how notorious this weapon was in history, even it's anti-cavalry properties without sacrificing super close range like regular spears typically. I feel like Cavalry in this game wouldn't be so hated if some weapons had increased dmg to Horses like they should tbh.

Finally! I wasn't sure what the community thought of this weapon since I never see anyone else use it. I rock the halberd religiously, whether in duels or teamplay. Love it!

ooooh finally the halberd. I've got over 300 levels on it. Most of them are in TO but it's a surprisingly good dueling weapon (nobody really uses it here in SA).

This is the reason I use the Halberd frequently if I just want to go berserk. I can abuse distance and punish anyone that gets within range. I've ripped apart team objective games using the Halbard. It has to be one of my favorites especially if I just want to take my retail rage out on Chiv 2.

I was wondering as someone trying to learn the game, how come you sometimes block straight after an attack, is it to protect yourself again a potential hit, and when it doesn't come you drop the block?

Look into chiv2 initiative. This is basically a turn-based game.

In TO panick blocking is much more safer than waiting to see an attack and then blocking like in duels.

You would've won if the bombards at the last objective were properly aimed at the bulwark. Saw at least 3 wasted shots. I like the objective but newbies seem to almost always get it wrong by aiming downwards or trying to reload the bombard from the back like bolt action rifle

On consoles you can't aim up and down, just left and right.

My finishing combo using any weaon: Get destroyed -> throw the controller out the window My finishing combo if i tried the Halberd: Get destroyed -> throw the controller out the window & into the street

just as a thought, the halberd even looks like bs when played in 1st person. The range you hit is further than the model.

@@StridahsAngels I just can't, my man. Maybe I'm too used to swinging a war axe around and cleaving/chopping rather than practicing stabbing more. Do you do coaching at all? Was thinking of hitting Dave up for a session

Basically I spam heavy over-heads and dodge a lot. Also no one expects aggression so try to play offensively with it if you can manage, that really throws people off and puts them on the back foot where you can use the range even more to your advantage. Just constantly attack like a mad man throwing in wide swings mixed with accelled over heads and the likes. As the weapon says it has slow windups on some attacks but excellent comboing, the speed of which often catches people off guard. Godspeed!
