For my studio work this lens replaces both my 24-70mm and 70-200mm f2.8s - I don't need 24mm wide and I don't need 120-200mm telephoto. Sigma does it again 🎉 Nice work as always Alex...

This lens is pretty cool! It’s awesome to see Sigma join Canon with a 2.8 version of this focal length. This would amazing to shoot live music from the pit. Great video as always Alex!

It's a 28-105. Canon's is 24-105. That extra 4mm on the wide end makes a difference.

@@77dris 4mm isn’t a big deal. I prefer shooting 28mm as you don’t get as much lens distortion vs 24mm.

Another amazing lens by Sigma, wow! Would be a greta combo with the 50 1.2 for portraits form all angles 🙂

I like zoom lenses for what I do, I ride a bike and take photos on my ride. So not having to swap lenses is nice less to have in the backpack too. Less fiddling with stuff. But the Sony 24-70 GM II has more cod like ringing, but can reduce it by using higher aperture. But yet nobody has showed this. Does this lens have something like that too? Or does it have regular ringing no matter what? I have a 85mm 1.8 which doesn't have this but it's a prime lens. Does it have less distortion than Sony lenses?

The obvious comparison point is the Tamron or samyang 35-150 F2.0-2.8, not really the Canon

I m sure it is very good lens, the 28mm breaks the deal for many of us, similarly with the 28-45.... I wish it was 24-45...
