The should have formed a new band after Jorge left. Just like the Misfits should have formed a new band after Danzig left. But it is much easier to continue touring and making money of an old band name that reforms with a new singer than it is to make a new band and release new music. Dead Kennedys also did the same thing. Really not the same band without Jello singing.

Whilst I would love to agree with you, I still hear energy and passion. Which is what what I think everyone should be looking for in a band. The 2 vocalists both have similar vocal sounds, but like anyone who has ever replaced a frontman in a band. You aren't going to sound exactly the same as the original singer. Jerry Only doesn't sound the same as Danzig, Michale graves doesn't sound the same as jerry only or Danzig. Each have their own flavour of what they bring, strengths and weaknesses in the place of work. I think its the same here with Jorge and David. But to say they suck would dismiss every member of the band and the talent, passion and energy in the band. I think if they were to lose what I consider the core of the band being Jake and Meggers. They would lose the energy that the band brings and has always brung.
@mkn.56710 ай бұрын
Jake ruined this band. The original guitarist (Yureesh?) could actually play guitar. There were subtle ways he displayed it in recordings like "political sin" off the Benefit for Beer compilation and "40oz Casualty" ep. Plus the Casualties were originally a pogo punk band. The songs were mid-tempoed which meant you could go into the pit with your girl and jump around and sing the choruses. You could take your beer with you as well, although most of it would spill. The point was it wasn't a UK 82 harcore punk band. That came in with Jake and his hard-on for GBH and Skeptix and his inability to play. Compare the original solo for punk rock love and then the version off of For the Punx with jake. 'nuff said.

They crashed at my friend's place in 1999 when they played a show in my hometown and were dicks. They were telling people that my friends were a bunch of rednecks afterwards, which is weird because my friends were from a liberal upstate NY town. But my friend was pretty crazy back then and would do gross stuff for shock value. He did take his dead chinchilla out of the freezer and nailed it to the wall. You would think a band as "punk" as the Casualties would appreciate that. LOL

My only critique of The Casualties back in the "For the Punx" days was that they looked "expensive". That album is a classic to me, but I knew back in those days how much a leather jacket costs, how much those spikes cost each and how much the hair products costs. So..I Iived with Rachel Rivets'(this one's for the punx!...) brother in Red Bank back in the early 2ks and discovered one day the two of em were hassled/harassed by a car fulla mooks and Jorge wound up hiding in the bushes afraid they'd "probably come back". Also he belts out 'Made in NYC' with passion yet, according to Rachel, he didn't even like or care for Joey nor the Ramones in general. Maybe why they didn't play the home of Joey, The Continental on 3rd and St.Marks. I'll end this on when he worked at Trash& Vaudeville he came to the dressing room where my lady today before we ever met was trying on some skirts and he was All -"Hey..could you use any help in there?👀" So his resignation wasn't very surprising to me none. Yes, at least at that point he only seemed to like the early 80s British Exploited type stuff.No interest in Ramones, Clash etc…but who knows everyone’s taste changes over time. Back in the 90s the St. Marks drunk punks like The Blanks and the Casualties generally played Coney Island High which did all ages shows. Continental had a different ,perhaps older punk crowd. Murphy’s Law and the LES Stiches would play there but that’s kinda as close as the club got to that sort of punk. Difficult owner .

They stayed at my apartment in Myrtle Beach, SC after a show my old band played with them in 1999. I have some pics. My friend got so drunk, he stripped naked and was puking in the toilet and shit all over the bathroom floor in front of everyone. I still have the note they left us the next day. It was the Casualties, the Unseen and Violent Society all staying at our upstairs 2 bedroom apartment (along with my band at the time). Cops came twice

Had the opportunity to see these bozos a bunch of times in the '90s. I remember a basement show in Milwaukee where they were super upset and whining because their hairdos were too tall for the basement. Haha..they played half leaned over so their hair didn't get ruined. You know, the important stuff

Seen the casualties in Oakland , I believe the venue was called the metro ? , they played with negative approach , and MDC , but MDC dropped out I guess because of the allegations of Jorge , the crowd was pissing in beer cups and launching it at him , foos we’re running on stage and swinging on him lol , security had to escort him out

I'm the girl he abused that is now the woman he abused. My name is public and this was a bullshit gloss over of how many people supported me and had their own stories. They never filed defamation charges because they all knew who I was. Where I lived. They had my name and phone number.

One of the last shows I threw while in college was The Unseen, Casualties and Violent Society. Great times with all those guys. I lost money because most of the people that showed up were fucking broke and hopped a train to make it.

I booked them here on that tour too! Punk and Disorderly tour 1999. They all stayed at my apartment after. Was nuts! I lost money too lol. No one had any money.

@@jamie_dlux That was the late 90's for ya, haha. Was reliant on fliers and word of mouth because there weren't social platforms to advertise online... because dial up was still a thing. Lmao.

@@FesteredTsar yep! It was fucking awesome! Lol. Show was still packed, small bar. But i let all my friends that had no money in, because i was running the door. I figured id rather more people be there, so i ended up letting people in. Then i went and withdrew my rent money to help compensate the tour lol. I think altogether it wasn’t even $300 i was able to give the tour. Maybe around $150 at the door and $150 from my account. But it was an awesome night that ill never forget. Plus i rode in their tour van back to my apartment. We all got shitfaced and my friend got all drunk and naked and was puking in the toilet and shitting on the floor at the same time. I still have pics from that night (not of my naked friend) and the note the bands left us thanking us and it said “PS. Someone that likes the Dropkick Murphys shit (#2) all over your bathroom floor” haha. Legendary

PS. if you pause this video at 1:25 in. Its the note and half the flyer. Because this was one of my side bands, later on. And it was the singer, our friend Seth, that did it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gaammnuPf8R5bK8si=Nk5lnSVmiOPoK3PV

@@jamie_dlux That's awesome. We did ours in a friends giant ass house in Hattiesburg, MS. Ended up with bands from all over wanting to play for free so it more or less was a giant fest with those 3 headlining. People were shooting bottle rockets out their ass on the porch. Haha.

Tell the truth about him. We all know Dude left because he’s was a chomo crying over 15 yr old girls and the backlash it caused throughout jersey and new york. BARBARIC heckled him in 2014 for it at championship sports bar in Trenton. I was excited to play 2 shows with them up until that point.

Does he not address the underage girls? Thats most certainly why Jorge left. Regular trips to south america cause he didn't have a citizenship was expensive so.. I wonder if he was an oogle. Either way, accusations of him and little girls goes back to the 90's on message boards
