I'm in VFX rather than editing, but looking at alternatives to pursuing vendor jobs on studio gigs - I have only recently considered the idea that KZbin creators are a big market in their own right. This visible/invisible thing exists in all freelance markets. I know that because creatives who "just want to be creatives" tend to end up invisible because they aren't interested in the "building a brand" side of things - and to date, that's been me. I've known about this idea for a while, but the simple clarity of how you explain things caught my attention, and I'll be looking for those next episodes.
