When KPOP went here in the Philippines, and I heard the WonderGirls "Nobody", ang pinaka-una kong narining, ang ganda talaga. Hanggang sa narinig ko nalang sa Karaoke yung sa Girls Generation na "Oh", na maganda rin. Nag-wish rin ako nun na sana, yung Pilipinas ganun rin, magkaroon ng ganyan na music group. Fast forward, dumating ang SB19, medyo nacornihan pa rin at medyo di ko type kasi parang galit sa mundo yung kanta haha! Pero, in fairness sa SB19, sila yung nagset ng standard, kung ano ba ang isang PPOP performance. Ang "witik" ng sayaw, ang pagkakaroon ng synchronization at iba pa. Pero nung dumating ang BINI, eto yung pinariringgan ko kasi ang ganda ng timpla ng kanta, from the arrangement ng synths, pianos and other instruments, kudos to the composers talaga, galing nyo, plus yung harmony ng BINI. ANG GALING... ANNNGGG GALING!!! Tapos ang sayaw, yun na, may naaakit na sa kanilang kariktan hahaha!!! Ito na ang katuparan ng wish ko at wish natin para sa OPM, may ipanglalaban na tayo sa KPOP, JPOP, CPOP at iba pang POP POP haha!!!! Sabi ko na nga eh, kaya natin, medyo natagalan lang, pero worth it naman yung paghihintay. Sir JKent, good job of on your music production analysis on Feel Good, pati na rin yung sa Salamin, Salamin at Pantropiko. It tells us of what makes BINI and even the Philippine Pop Music... That's what i'm saying! The usual problem here is yung mahahawa ka sa notes na kinakanta ng katabi mo. BINI has none of that problem. Sheena is the main dancer but CAN do a harmony. I have proofs with this as well. I really stan these girls so much!

This is my most favorite BINI song. Ang linis ng melody lapat na lapat yung lyrics sa boses meaning bagay yung kada boses nilang walo sa sinasabi nila sa kanta plus yung riffs ng music sobrang good vibes walang ibang katunog and may anime vibes yung piano lines nito. bloom from coconut era, but i feel good is that era that i felt they really solidified what they wanted to do with bini vocal wise (not music wise, vocal wise) as much as i give credit to the members, we need to give massive props to the producers and arrangers as well. though siyempre may mga boses naman na talaga ang members nung una, napush talaga ng mga arrangers yung capability nila. yung signature arrangement na ngayon ng bini na they could slide up and down any vocal positions to fill in whats needed, producers and arrangers ang may kagagawan nun. it did not start with i feel good ofcourse since the vocal root idea of bini has always been acapella based, pero i feel good was when the magic really bloomed. and that for me leads in why bini's harmony feels magical and a twist. if every member can do it, it opens up tons of options for the producer and arranger. cherry on top(wish bus ver) is currently the peak example of it. 9:48 is technically not a harmony, parang mas closer siya to a unison? but the arrangement make it sound like a harmony by combining maloi(a smooth voice) and gwen(the most textured vocal of the group). its moments like that you know that the arranger is actively pushing the instruments s/he has into use. this is one of the reason why bini as a group is becoming an anomaly.. if talking just bini vocals alone, there are groups that has better vocals specially nung bago bago palang sila.. but the difference of having top class producers, writers and arrangers that pushes them forward, yun yung isa sa malaking advantage nila. isama mo pa dun na sila mismo may kusang ipush mga sarili nila forward and hindi lang sila naghihintay sa iuutos sakanila...

I was playing this on electric guitar just now when I came across this video. I am a huge proponent of finding the vocal lines on the scales and I used the relative minor for this one. And I was surprised at how the vocals were staying in one note then completely jumping to previous octave shape of the scale. It was both surprising and fun!

Ohh hinulaan ko lang po HAHAHA -Jokes aside, i am a Ouido Musician po. (A person who can play a note they hear) I can accurately name the natural notes (the white keys) without the Piano but i am having a little bit of trouble naming the enharmonics (sharps and flats). That's when i use keyboard. I've been doing this ear training since 12 y/o. That doesn't come naturally tho. I believe everyone can learn it. We'll have a discussion about this in our community discord soon and i'm sure you'll learn a lot from there.
