The undertaker is a very simple character to understand. He’s a undead Undead zombie with superpowers, and was also a cult leader, and has a half brother they can shoot fire, and can disappear and teleport when ever he wants, and has murdered people live on PPV, and also became a baker for a couple years, and can shoot fire and lightning when he wants, and has druids, and can come back from the dead whenever he wants, and really likes wearing hats, and might actually work for the devil, and can drag people to hell when he wants. and is a proud American, and also just happens to be a pro wrestler it all makes perfect sense.

The fact that always astounded me most was how few championships he won and the relatively short length of those reigns. Its really how they should book the fiend.

Great video Laurie 👍 Fave Undertaker moment its really hard for one single moment to stand out in such a legendary career. Theres the casket with Diesel, matches with Foley, the ministry, announcing Kane loves poontang. One thing that Id always remember is that chair shot he gave Maven after the Tough Enough rookie eliminated Taker from that Rumble. The boneyard match was a perfect way for Undertaker to ride off into the sunset in a blaze of glory too. Looking forward to the 2 hour special of Broken Skull Sessions and hearing more stories from the Deadman 😁

To me, Taker can be summed up in a single quote from Macho Man Randy Savage during WrestleMania IX as he made his way to the ring on the chariot with the live vulture/buzzard. "How can a man, who surrounds himself with so much darkness, shed so much light around the world?" For 3 decades, this man has kept, curated and established this incredible mythos that has effectively stood the test of time. What he has done for the industry as a whole, is almost incalculable. He added so much complexity and nuance, that he was impossible to ignore and the universe has embraced him and felt a deeper connection to him, than maybe some of the more "wholesome" characters. I for one, will be a devoted Child of the Night, till i die Thank you Taker

The way you described him was SPOT ON!!! a aging demi god who must beat down and uplift the youth to keep his legacy alive and toughen up the new breed of warriors coming up while putting down the warriors of the past, never realizing or accepting when it was his time to go. For me, If the deadman has one more match, There is only two guys from the current roster who can represent times are changing and the deadman is not needed, Aleister Black and The Fiend

The first match I ever watched was Undertaker vs Bret Hart at the Royal Rumble 1996 and I’ve been obsessed with the character ever since. I remember my dad and I always cheered for the Undertaker when I was a child, but he took Kane’s side during their initial feud and started liking Kane and I kept cheering for the Undertaker so we had a playful little feud over that during these first few Brothers of Destruction matches. Now that he’s gone, they are fun memories that I can enjoy, and it’s thanks to the Undertaker, which is a gimmick and a character that really helped a child cope with death. ⚱️

My favourite moment personally, isn't a major one, but I got to see Undertaker live just once at Raw in Manchester in 2015. I remember reading a rumour earlier in the day that he might be there and chatting about it to my mate who I went with, all the while not holding my breath because I just thought, why would he turn up at a random Raw in the gloomy mid autumn. Then as the show went on, it built up to Wyatt doing his eulogy which was the main event segment and I wondered why it would be the last thing on the show, still not believing he would be there. And then the gong went off and the lights went out and the place went mental. There honestly isn't any other entrance like it and I'm so glad I got to experience that at least once. #ThankYouTaker

He wasn't portrayed as a supernatural being after 98. Sure, he did seem to have powers in early 99, but he was reporting to Vince McMahon the whole time and didn't exhibit powers again until after 2004 when he was brought back from the dead. The most likely explanation there is that even in kayfabe, his ministry powers were just smoke and mirrors. Also, The Brood were just goths not vampires, they were never seen drinking blood or turning into bats or any of that hocus pocus stuff.

The greatest of all time. He made this gimmick defy time and trends. He transcended past the New Generation, Attitude, Ruthless Aggression, PG and now, in this time, he is still the greatest. The Undertaker. My greatest moment has to be Armageddon 2000, 6 Man Hell in the Cell. When Taker tossed Rikishi from the cell to a truck. Brutal af.

It really was! I'd say Rikishi's selling was great but I'm not so sure it was selling

@@partsFUNknown totally. Just glad Rikishi didn't hit any edge of that truckbed.
