Wasn't so much to piss him off, they wanted to crack his shell, make him laugh, make him smile, etc. Several of them have stories about just making the corners of his mouth twitch and how they'd argue all night drinking as to whether it was a smile or not and who could take credit for it. I've watched interviews of wrestlers I don't even like just because they had a good Undertaker story.
